Hi all,
Here are two great blog candies up for grabs. Pop over to http://shestamps.blogspot.com/ and follow the rules listed on Chery's blog.
For the Background I used a Tattered Angels Stencil as a mask. Using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Dry Foam, I applied ink around the edges of the mask.
The butterflies are a set of Elusive Images' stamps. Now known as Chocolate Baroque. Painted with Distress inks of course.
I made the flower, just to hide the piece of card in the base.
It's just a bit of fun really. I will put it on my stall and maybe it will appeal to someone. They will have to have a strange mind like mine to appreciate it!!
The background paper I made using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, which I applied to the debossed side of the Crafts Too Dotty Square Embossing Folder. Then cut a piece of white paper to fit, put it in the folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug.
I like this technique as it means that all your colours match. I find pinks are particularly hard to match, as there are so many variations and a lot of them just look awful together.
The flowers are just from my stash, which I wired together and wound the stems around that very useful too, a kebab stick!
All the shapes are using Nestabilities and the top heart layer was first embossed with an embossing folder first.
As I am sitting here typing away, it has got so dark and raining so heavy, that I have had to put the light on. It is only 10am!! I have to go to Tesco today! Yuk!!
Well I think I will delay going out for a bit. I will give myself a hair cut instead. As my trade is a Hair Stylist, I don't trust hairdressers and so have always cut my own hair. I was taught that you can always cut a bit more off but you cannot stick it back on. I wish all hairdressers were taught this.
I think I lightened the pictures too much in my photo programme! She is so sweet and I love the little dog.
The picture below is much better, not so light.
On Saturday I am doing my first Craft Market for my Charity since my holiday. As it is a new venue, I don't know how well supported it will be. I just hope the lady organiser has advertised it well. I then have my usual market on Friday 15th and on Saturday 16th I am doing the Balcombe Village Fete. I will then need another holiday!
