Mirror, Mirror On The Wall!!!

Hi there, it's me here!!
I am never moving house ever again!!
What a nightmare!!
We have had even more problems with the internet, (AOL), as we upgraded to
Windows 10 before we moved. Apparently, AOL was not compatible with it.
They then had an upgrade to download, but it did not work for us.
To cut a very long story short, 3 days and 3 different technicians,
they finally sorted us out! Well nearly......technician number 2, messed up
our main computer so bad, hubby lost all saved emails!
Then I had lost my access to all my blogs!!
Another 4 hours later, all was ok!!

We have been really busy and have got my craft room ready for the carpet to
go down and then all the woodwork to be replaced.
We bought all the shelving and work tops with us.

On Monday morning at 8am, (ugh!!) we have carpenter, decorators and
a plumber starting work here.
They have said it will take around 2 weeks or just over.
On Tuesday, an electrician will also start!
Plenty of tea and biscuits me thinks!!

It should be a bit of fun too, as the carpenter is an Australian,
from the same area as my husband! So we had a lot of Australian
strange words being used, when they came to give us a quote.

This is a mirror I made before we move and has been sitting is draft
for a while.

I painted it with Paper Artsy Chalk Paint I bought from the Craft Barn.
Along with my favourite mask, Honeysuckle, from Imagination Crafts.
Also the diamond shapes that were from Tando .

The die in the background is from Sizzix. The name escapes me and
all my dies are buried in the spare bedroom.

The blue flowers I made but the others were bought from Hobbycraft.

Well that is it for now. I am doing my first craft fair up here on the 1st March.
It's in a hotel on the beach. So I am hoping my room will be ready in
time for me to make some more stock.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me all the wonderful, supportive messages.
you are such amazing friends.

Biggest hugs,
Carolxxxx

The Craft Barn Classes

Hi everyone, just a quick post writing wise. It's my birthday today, so want an early night. I am going to be VAT + 40 something!!

Inside I am 38 years and the mirrors in my house are very strange. They keep showing me some old biddy, that must be a ghost or similar! Don't know who she is!!

I am also knackered from having my 4year old Grandson here,
Monday, crafting for the day.

These items are what my 2 classes made in August. The box is a wooden box, covered with card and using the gorgeous stamps from Helen Meighan, under the name of Helidot. You can buy all the items at The Craft Barn.

The top of the box below.

The next 2 photos are of the inside, floating butterflies!

Below, Tando Sleigh pieces and for the box, I made my own template.

Last piccie, Tando bauble and sleigh.

All items used are bought from The Craft Barn.

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to leave me a message, so I know you have stopped by.
I will return the favour.

Hugs

Tick Tock Fairy Clock

Hi everyone,

It was a nice change to see the sun yesterday, here in West Sussex. We did brave it and ventured out for a short walk. The wind was rather chilly but it was just nice to get some fresh air. It was a bit cloudy this morning, Sunday but got brighter as the day went on.

I spent both Saturday and Sunday mornings, cleaning the conservatory. I washed all the window frames, shelves and even the windows! As it is 5.5 metres by 5.5metres, there are a lot of windows. I didn't do the roof windows though! They are self cleaning on the outside and have a solar screening on the inside, to keep the temperature under control.

I really enjoyed making this clock a couple of weeks ago. I have been busy making Easter cards and orders for my card outlets, since making this.

It started life as a canvas, which I covered with papers that were torn and distressed. I then applied some Paper Artsy Grunge Paste, through a few different masks around the edges, which I bought from The Craft Barn in South Nutfield, Surrey.

The three larger butterflies I made with Martha Stewart Paper Clay. I think I am going to get addicted to this Clay! It is so easy to mould and can't wait to have more time to play with it.

The numbers I did on the computer and used a flower die to cut them out. The tiny butterflies are the waste, from the Nestie that I used to cut out the centre piece of the clock. It was a scrap of Co-ordinations card, which I sanded around the edges.

The fairies are all from Lili Of The Valley. The first one is my all time favourite fairy stamp, 'Tiptoe'. I just think she is so beautiful and delicate. I have coloured all of them with Distress Markers and Inks.

This next one was from my latest purchase from LOTV. I think they are so cute and they are called 'Friends Forever'. I love the little boots, the one on the right has on.

Now this is Bumble Bee Fairy. I stamped her and then cut away the bumble bee and flower that she was looking at. Hence the name!

This fairy is 'Fairy With Dove'. I think she is going to be my second favourite fairy. She was so lovely to colour.

Don't forget to put your name on my blog candy. There are a few metres of each, lace, ribbon and trimmings. The  3 rubber stamps, were very kindly donated from Sandy, the owner of The Craft Barn, where I also bought the Tando Mask and the Prima Flowers. The paper pad I bought at Sandown. I also forgot to put in the picture, a pack of 120 assorted colours and sizes of sticky backed jems. So have a go and good luck.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your lovely comments. You know that they are really appreciated.

As requested I am entering this into LOTV challenge - Song title - Rock around the Clock!

White On White

Hi everyone,

So sorry I haven't posted lately but as I sold so much stock at my last Craft Fair, I had a lot to get made for the one I had yesterday. The last one was over 2 days and I sold 3 large and 1 small crates full of stock! Great for my Charity, Brendoncare - Stildon.

Had another good Fair yesterday. I sold the most I have ever sold at this venue. The fairs are every 2 months there, with an extra one at the end of November. So this week I am working flat out to make more stock, for yet another Fair on this coming Saturday! Clocks are my biggest seller at the moment!

This is a boxed card with my favourite, white on white. With a little Chipped Sapphire DI thrown in.

As this is a quick post, as I must get back to my desk, I will just list the products I used.

An A5 card blank, 320gsm card for the embossing and stamping. Wow white EP for the snowflakes on the first layer of the backing card. Just visible on the left.

Sheena Douglass Christmas stamp. Creative Expressions Snowflake Mask. Centre aperture cut with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals Die. Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Die. Dee's Distinctively Wreath Builder dies for the leaves. Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels - White Ice on the flowers. The metal charm was from our 99p shop! You get 6 assorted charms for 99p! The sentiment is from Hobby Art Designs.

I have loads of cards made and will try to post a bit more often. I would like to enter some challenges again but it takes me so long to do! I wish I had another pair of hands and an extra 5 hours in each day!

Marianne has persuaded me to enter the Crafty Little Fairies Challenge. So I have!

Thank you for taking the time to visit and to leave such lovely comments. This is a busy time for all of us crafters and it is appreciated all the more, to get such wonderful comments.

Big hugs,

A Golden Dabber Christmas!

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your lovely comments on my Buddha Nut post. I am glad that there are other nut lovers out there and I am not alone.Lol!!

This card I made using a Tando mask, that I bought at The Craft Barn in Lingfield. I ran it through my Joy machine on a piece of red paper, about 120gsm. They do not emboss so well on card. For the gold effect I used an Adirondack Acrylic Dabber, which I bought at Ally Pally. The gold is a very crisp bright gold.

On the edge of the leaves, I just flicked the Dabber from the tip of the leaf to get a soft edge, rather then a solid line.
I did have to take the lid off the Dabber and, using a very fine paint brush, I touched up some of the edges, to make them sharper. Added a few gems and card done! A very quick card but looks like hours have been spent on it!

Thanks for stopping by and for leaving your lovely comments. I treasure every one.
Luv,
Carol S. xx
