Home Sweet Home!!

Another heart and my favourite colour!!

A simple Clay Rose with Clay leaves I made.
Also a few small flowers from Hobbycraft.

The background was of course my crackle paint job!

The sentiment is a die, multi cut to make it a bit stronger.
Along with wooden bits from my stash.
I am finding things that I have had for years and forgotten I had them!!

Hope you are all home, safe from this awful weather.
Plenty of big trees down on the local news.
At least I don't have to water the garden!!

We are back to having central heating on!!
Crazy, when a few days ago we were baking in the sun!!

Stay safe and don't go buying hundreds of Loo Rolls!!!!
Didn't get that last time, so why them again?!!!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog
and leaving your lovely comments.

Have a lovely weekend and stay safe.

Big hugs,
Carol

A Swinging Fairy With Friends!!

This is my Swinging Fairy!!
I made her with Air Dry Clay, also the Toadstools,
Snail and Caterpillar are the same clay

Sadly you cannot see her wings, as I made them with
a pretty sparkly Organza fabric.

I used felting wool for her hair, which I made into ringlets.
That's the hairdresser in me!!
Her swing I made with Balsa wood.

The circle is a wooden embroidery ring,
covered with ribbon.

Getting used to this new format. Can't find the
spelling check button yet!!

Hope it is sunny where you are. We are having
another sunny warm day and looks like
not so windy, as the last few days.

Thank you for your lovely comments and
for taking the time to visit my blog.

Have a lovely weekend  and stay safe.
Big Hugs,
Carol

The Blues !!

I am pleased to say that my mojo has come back and
hope that it is here to stay!! Yipeeeeee!!

All I needed was a reason/purpose to make things.
Having got the Craft Market bookings, was all I needed.

If they all will be still happening, nobody knows.
However, all the time I think they will, is mentally
important to me.

So here is another MDF heart, made from my heart!!
(Cheesy I know)!!

I had a lovely walk with a friend last Tuesday, through the
local Marshes.
We walked for just over 4 miles, with a coffee and a Sandwich
half way round! The weather was perfect and just warm enough
to enjoy it and not many people on the same route.

It's a shame that we cannot have the freedom, we have been
given the last few weeks.

It has been spoilt, by the people not conforming to the
safety measures that were important to us all.

I saw 3 girls being interviewed on the TV, at a party.
They were asked why they were not conforming
to the numbers that were allowed at a gathering.

Their reply really shocked me, which was
'We can't be bothered with all that. We want to have fun
and enjoy ourselves!!!'

I still cannot believe, that they have no cares for
their friends and families, getting ill and dying.

Well I have had my rant!! What do you think?

Enjoy the sun and stay safe.

Big hugs,
Carol

A Red Heart!!

Trying to get some different items made for the Craft Market next month.

I have used a Lili Of the Valley paper as the background.
The flowers are from Hobbycraft .

A simple make, just added a line of Gold Embossing
powder to the edge of the heart, to finish it off.

Also added the sentiment, using an old stamp and
Gold Embossing powder.

I just wish I had made things in all the spare time I had!!

Never mind, I didn't know there would be the chance
of selling any of my items!!

So looking forward to the first one!!

Thanks for your lovely comments on my last post.

Big hugs,
Carol

As Requested Framed Bears

I had a few requests from you, to see the Cross Stitch
in it's frame.

The frame was a very dark brown wood, with a panel
of gold on the narrow internal edge.
I gave it a coat of white Gesso and then did my crackle
paint effect, with 2 shades of blue acrylic paint and some glue.

There is a lot of detail on the background of the picture,
as they are supposed to be sitting on a bed against a pillow.
So the bits that look like creases, are actually stitches to
give the effect of creases.
My ironing is not that bad!!Lol!!

I cut some board to fit into the frame,
and to attach the fabric to. I ironed the fabric on the back
and then centred it onto the board. I stretched the fabric
on all 4 sides and taped it to the board.

Then put it into the frame.
I screwed in 2 rings into the back of the frame.
I then put 2 runs of wire through the rings.
Job done!!!

It's now on the wall in the spare bedroom.

So there we are, another job done off my list!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and
to leave your lovely messages.

They are all read and appreciated.

Big hugs,
Carol

A Bit More Clay

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.
As requested, I will post it again when it's in the frame.
The frame needs a bit of work on it, to make it to my taste!

My mojo has come back and keeping me awake at night!!!
Not complaining though!!

I bought this plywood stand at Noble's Craft Shop in
Great Yarmouth. It was in the sale box and that was back
in the new year!

Didn't know what I wanted to do with it, until this week!!

So out came the Hearty Clay!! It hasn't been out for months!!

As I love making roses, they were an easy make.
Fortunately I have kept my floristry bits, from when I
had my business, many years ago!! So I could
create stems with wire and wrap them with floristry tape.

Another make for my first weekend Craft Market, on
17th and 18th October at the Cherry Lane, South View
Garden Centre in Fritton, Norfolk.
I am there every weekend from then, until
the last one on 14th and 15th November.
I will be going home in between!!!Lol!!

I have missed doing Craft Fayres and this one will be very
small, only 10 tables, 2 of which I will be having.
A very safe one to do.

So thanks again for your lovely messages and
I hope to have more time, to get round to all your
blogs and message you all too.

Big hugs,
Stay safe,
Carol
