Crafting For All Seasons Challenge #101

Hi all,
A new challenge today at Crafting For All Seasons.

I must admit, that this is the first time I have ever used a sketch!!
I know.....a sketch virgin!!! And at my age too!!Lol!

I must also admit that it was fun to do!

Have you guessed the theme for this challenge?
Go to top of the class, all of you that said a sketch!!!

I used a mixture of Distress Inks and Copics, to colour this gorgeous image.
She is lovely and the butterfly is beautiful too.

Her name is - Charlotte and Butterfly - kindly given to us,
from our amazing Sponsor - Milk Coffee

The paper match is a complete fluke! I had already coloured
the image, before looking for papers.
I know.... I keep telling myself that I should choose papers first!!!!

I had some quick stock cards on my desk, waiting to be put together.
I spotted a piece of paper sticking out the pile.
I pulled it out and found I had 2 pieces together.
So I had one for the quick card and one for this one and...
....all the colours matched, even the green dot!!
Now that is just too weird!!

This is the sketch for you to use for your entries.

Our Sponsor for this fortnight challenge is

Quicky Cards!

Hi all, It's gone midnight, as I am writing this post.
It's raining here in West Sussex, thank goodness!
The garden is so dry, the earth has big cracks in it.
Not ideal for doing any digging or planting.

Last week I went to The Craft Barn
and they had just had a delivery of new stock.
Well, Sandy (the owner) and myself, opened the boxes
and had a good rummage.
Needless to say, I bought quite a lot of items!

Amongst my purchases, were a set of Card-io mini stamps.
I loved these tiny fairies and foliage, so they went straight into my basket.

When I got home, I remembered that years ago,
I bought a set of these stamps
but were under a different company name.

Well I found them and these cards were the result.

They were so quick to make and great fun doing them.
Basically it's just random stamping!

I think I might just have to make a few more for stock for the markets.

Hope you all have a happy Sunday.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you come again.
Please leave me a message, just so I can return the favour.
It's nice to know you have been and I love reading
all of my messages.
Hugs,
Carol xx

Twinkle, Twinkle, At Winter Wonderland

Hi everyone, it's very warm here today (Thursday).
I went out in the garden to pull up a Dandelion and 2 hours later, I finished.
No it didn't take that long to dig it up!!
I filled a sack with plant trimmings and weeds!

Firstly I must welcome my new follower and
Hope you enjoy visiting my little corner.

Today is a new challenge at Winter Wonderland.

We are sponsored by M R Designs.

The Prize for the winner of this challenge is
a 20 Euro Voucher!

For our challenge this week, the theme is
Twinkle, Twinkle (all sparkly and bright)

The background paper I have used for my card, is from M R Designs.
They very generously sent us some papers to choose from.

My cute little girl is from Wild Rose Studio, I bought at The Craft Barn.
I used Distress Inks and Copics to colour her with.
I added Stickles to the pressies and the flower in her hair.

For the snow, I used Cosmic Shimmer, dries white glue and Iced Snow Glitter.
The tree and Santa stamps are so old, I have no idea where they came from!

You might think that it's far to early to make Christmas cards.
When I make one for the challenge,
I make a few more towards my Christmas stock.
Hopefully, I won't be making family Christmas cards on Christmas Eve!!

So get making and you could also win the amazing prize from M R Designs.

For more inspiration, hop over to Winter Wonderland blog and you will see
all the beautiful cards made by my Snowflakes teamies.

We would also like to welcome a new Snowflake to our team - Lesley.

Thanks for stopping by and also a huge thank you,
to all my lovely ladies, who left messages for my Daughter, Becky.
It was so kind of you. She has now recovered after the swim!

Big hugs,
Carol xx

Well Done Becky!!!! (Daughter)

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post to congratulate my Daughter, Becky and
her friend Jo, for both of them,
completing 200 lengths of our local swimming pool.

They are raising money for Marie Curie Nurses.

Becky had to stop a couple of times, as she got cramp badly
in her leg, after 106 lengths.

We are so proud of her, to find the strength to get back in the pool and
complete her task. Still with one leg cramping on her.
......................................................................
She was resting on this length, doing breast stroke
instead of front crawl.
She has a black swimming hat with white writing on
and her face is in the water in this photo.

It was length 168 of the 200!

I think you can tell from her style of swimming, that she has,
in her teenage years,
represented a swimming club in competitions.
She is a very good swimmer but not quite as fit, as she was at 17!!

.......................................................

Last length!!!! Yipeee!!

Swimming this distance at 41 and with quite a few years
since attempting this distance, was a lot to take on.
.............................................

THE END!!!!

Mia, her Daughter, is rather excited at Mummy finishes!!

Completed in 2 hours and 57 minutes. (even with 2 stops)

Well Done Becky!!

She had a target of raising £200 for the charity.

She actually raised £610!!
Fantastic!!

So a big thank you, to all friends and family for their kind sponsoring.
..........................................
Hi 5 from Lucca to Mummy.

Becky on right and Jo on left.

Medals to prove they did it!!

Well done girls.
Hope you are not too sore tomorrow!!

Thanks for stopping by and will have a craft picture next time.

Hugs,
Carolxxxx ( One very proud Mum)

About a 45 minute drive from home.
It was at a Garden Centre in Kent and opened at 9am,
so very early rising both days.

It was so busy on Saturday, they ran out of parking spaces
and the place is enormous.

I took 10 crates of stock with me and they were all jam packed!!
I came home with 5 empty ones and orders!!!

I had Grandson for the day on Monday and Granddaughter today, Tuesday.
I also did a coffee morning as well today!
