I have wanted to have a go at Needle Felting for a while.
I started with a mouse and husband said it looked more
like a rat!!!
So I left it for a few days and decided to try making a Hare.
I have a clay one, that was a gift from a friend.
So I used it as an idea.
This was the final result, after a few finishing touches,
along with a few stabbings of a finger!!
It's far from perfect but better than I hoped,
for a first attempt.
I now need a name, male or female for it.
So if you pop in, could you leave a name in your comment!!
I am not completely happy with the ears but
I can see what I need to do next time.
I think this is going to be a new, addictive craft for me!!!
At least it's a 'tidy desk' craft and a clean one too, which is
great for me. I can be a bit messy if I am on a roll!!!
Thank you for finding the time to leave a message on my last post.
I love to read them and they are treasured, especially
in the climate we are going through at the moment.
We think my sister's Alzheimer's is more advanced than we perhaps thought.
It's harder for my Sister, who lives close to the 'Home'.
She has been her rock and her carer for some time.
I just wish I could be there. Not that we could get in the home.
Thanks for popping in and would love your feedback on my Hare.
Don't forget to add a name. Can't wait for them!!
Stay safe.
Big Hugs.

Oh, he is beautiful Carol, I will call him Rufus, he looks like a Rufus the Rabbit..and I had one as a child but he lost an ear and I was quite devastated and my poor parents and Gran parents had to the walk the length of the beach looking for the ear, which was never recovered, by the time they all returned I had got over it and was chewing on the other one, so all ended up well..
Well done Carol, he is awesome..

This is fabulous Carol, I've always fancied a go at felting but it it looks quite complicated - you've done a fabulous job with your Hare.
How about Hartley for a name.

Hi Carol, oh goodness how did I nearly come to miss this . Your felted hare is adorable. The name Harold springs to mind. When we had the first lockdown I bought a wool felting kit to make a Hare. It is still in its box as after having read the instructions you make a wire armitage up first and then There are a further 34 steps to actually making him. The wire is in the box kit and he is called Romeo. I also bought a couple of flower kits from another company to make as Christmas gifts but as I need to give them personally that isn’t going to happen any time soon. As they are Christmas flowers will keep for next time!
No it’s his own fault for still being in lockdown rulz is rulz!! Lol.
Hugs Mrs A.
What an amazing hare!! I can't believe you have never done it before!! I see further up that Pauline chose Hartley Hare, I seem to remember that from a kids' programme, just looked it up...Pipkins!! xx
