Hi everyone, It was a miserable, muggy day here in West Sussex. As I am busy at the moment, making stock for my 2 markets this weekend, it didn't really matter.
The Saturday market is one I do every 2 months in a nearby village. As I have regular customers, I have to always have different things. The Sunday one is at a garden centre in Kent. About a 45 minute drive and we have to be there by 08.30 to set up. Husband is helping me with that one. So no lie-in for him! Never mind he is on holiday for 2 weeks.
We hope to be going up to Suffolk, near Beccles, where a friend of ours lives, for a few days. We haven't been to Suffolk. I did go to Norfolk quite a bit but that was years ago, as one of my sisters lived there.
These are a couple of boxes I made last week, which I will take on Sunday. The papers for the first one, were free with a magazine I think. I just tore the edges and added some Tea Dye Distress Ink to the edges.
The birdcage is a Mirror Box Die and I cut a little bird from a piece of paper from the Prima Songbird Collection and stuck him in the cage!
The 2 large pink flowers started life as white rose buds. I took them apart and sprayed them with a Tattered Angels pink mica spray. I then heated them with my heat gun which made the petals open into a rose flower. The other flowers are from my stash and behind them is a piece of tied lace.
The words I found on a sheet in my paper stash. From where they came, I have no idea! The butter fly is a KaiserCraft Background stamp. I made this box before my Lili of The Valley stamps had arrived. My next posting is a project made completely with their new stamps.
This is a little wooden box, that I am afraid the pictures do not show how it really looks. Even my husband commented on it!
The papers are from a Vintage Attic Treasures paper pad from Melissa Frances. A lovely pad of really pretty vintage papers. I made the flower from a strip of paper that I just snipped into and then rolled it around a flower centre. I added some Vintage Photo DI to the edges. The gold around the edges of the box, is Debbi Moore Metal Magic embossing Powder.
The butterfly is a Marianne Creatables die.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your lovely comments. They are always so kind and a pleasure to read.
Hugs,
Carol S.xx

Hello Carol , like Marianne I love the vintage look too , wonderful work here sweetie and i love the card with the LOV vintage boy. I have just purchased their sketch pads so will be crafting boys cards soon.
Thank you for your visit and kind words , it must have been hard for you too with your Mum. Hubby and I had just got Dad back on his feet when Mum had her latest stroke. The house move isn't helping, although we think we have found one suitable and will hear today if we have passed the credit check. Everything happens at once , I am much better now but the cellulitis was a shock but I am high on penicillin and other drugs to help. You have to keep smiling and keep going .
Your beautiful creations made me smile today . Hugs Elaine
