Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your long weekend, here in the UK that is. Firstly I would like to welcome my new follower and thank you for taking the time to join us.
As it's my husband's birthday on Friday and mine 3 days later, we thought we would buy a lap top for us to share. It means that when he is working from home, as he does most evenings, I don't have to wait for him to finish. I can now do my commenting on the blogs I follow at a sensible time.
This box is for my market stall I have next Saturday, in Balcombe Village in West Sussex. I did forget to take a picture of the sides of the box. It is a book like box, with the spine decorated as well. I used papers from a Forever Friends paper pad, that my lovely friend Sue bought for me.
I made it as a keepsake box, that could be for a boy or a girl.
The image is the Lili of the Valley baby stamp, All Our Dreams, coloured with Distress Inks. Using Pinflair glue gel, I 3D'd it onto a die cut piece of pearlised card, that I had in my odds and sods box. It had been embossed first, with an Anna Griffin embossing folder and I threw a bit of Frantage onto it. The lace was from my very large stash of lace, that I have had for years.
In the picture below, the butterfly was made with Martha Stewart clay and a mould from Lakeland, that I bought on holiday.
The little shoes I have had for years and haven't a clue where they came from.
More lace from my stash and a computer generated label.
The final piccie is flowers from my stash, leaves from a die, more butterflies and a corner,
using a Cheery Lynne corner die. I edged the box with Treasure Brass Gilding Wax, that I bought from The Craft Barn.
Well that's it for tonight. Back to my desk to paint more fairies for another clock. I hope to get that made tomorrow, as it's supposed to be raining all day. A good excuse to sit and craft for most of the day, after a couple
of housework jobs.
As hubby is home, I have to do a few jobs, so he thinks that I always do it!!

What a wonderful idea Carol and I'm sure it will fly off the stall next week. The rain has arrived in Dorset, so a crafty day for me too, as I'm sure the men will be engrossed in some sport or another!! xx

Hi Carol, met you on Thursday in your workshop at the craft barn. (I'm the one that can't colour/shade) It was really lovely to meet you and learning from you.
I have had a quick look through your pictures on here and the things you have made (esp the boxes) are amazing. Hope to meet you again soon.
Love Amanda
