Hi and a big thank you for all my lovely messages,
on my blog and on my Facebook page.
You are all so kind.
What an awful few weeks we have had!!
I certainly will never forget it.
When I lost my Mojo, I happened to find a couple of
Cross stitch kits, I have had for many years!
So obviously I had to pick the biggest one to do!
It's on 28 count linen and measures 18" x 9" and has 39 colours!!
If you don't know what I am talking about,
there are 28 holes in 1 inch of fabric!!
In the kit there was Aida fabric to do it on.
Not being a lover of that, I found some Even Weave Linen
in my stash. It's a much softer fabric than Aida.
Just a few threads!!
It took me a whole evening, getting these threads onto the
holders. Writing the colour code for each one.
On the chart, each colour has a symbol. So on the chart colour list,
I wrote which holder they were on, 1, 2 or 3.
It was worth doing, otherwise I would have to look on
every holder to find the colour I wanted!!
This will be the picture when it's finished!!
When that will be, maybe Christmas!!
It's not just the bears. All of the background is also stitching!!
Once again, thank you for your kind messages.
Hope you are all well and keeping safe.
Thank goodness for being crafters!!!
Big hugs,
Carol

Oh this is lovely Carol. The teddy's fur looks so real and it will be fabulous when completed. I'm afraid I have quite a few projects like this that I start then lose interest in them. I must get going again with them! x
I have no idea how to stitch Carol, but I know what I like and I like this very much, beautiful Bears and it will look fantastic when finished...

Is there anything you can't do Carol!!? This is superb and on evenweave too. It looks amazing now. Those bears remind me of the characters in the OLd Bear books by Jane Hissey that the boys loved when they were little xx
What a wonderful project I love cross stitch sadly In my sight is not as good as it was and I can no longer do the really fine linen but still enjoy it Glad you are recovering you had a rough time stay safe sending love and hugs Carole x
Hi Carol
Oooooo... ... I can remember seeing this picture completed in a craft shop in town years ago!
I loved it and wanted to buy it (I have lots of teddy bears all around the house) .. .. but as I had a picture on the go I told myself I couldn't have it until I finished what I had started.
Surprise, surprise I still haven't finished what I started all those years ago .. .. which is a Victorian Dolls House. You certainly look a quicker stitcher than I am!!
Can't wait for Christmas to see it completed.
Take care Carol and happy stitching .. .. it is looking beautiful already.
Love Jules xx
Hello Carol, you have a lot more patience than I have, I wouldn't even think about making something like that. The bears are very pretty though and I agree with one of your other commenters that they remind me very much of the Old Bear stories.
Love Carole xx
I love this, will look great when it’s done. Glad you are enjoying cross stitching. I am not sure my eyes would be up to using evenweave though it looks nice.
So sorry to hear you have lost not one but three of your friends so close together. My thoughts are with you.
You have certainly given yourself plenty to do with cross stitch picture. Keep well and safe. Hugs Mrs A.
Oh Carole! I haven't seen needlepoint and cross stitch in years! I love the sweet bears and your hard work really paid off with the sweetness of this - bravo! Stay safe, my friend! xx
This looks fabulous Carol, should keep you busy for a while - I will look forward to seeing it when you have completed it.
