Daisy Daisy!

Thank you so much for all the lovey messages
on my last post. I was amazed there were so many!
All read and treasured.

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely sunshine
we have been having for a few days.
A bit of sunshine certainly lifts your spirits.

My Hubby was booked in our local Hospital, to have
a knee replacement op, on Sunday 6th, this coming Sunday.
He went to have his Pre-op on Wednesday and was
there for just under 5 hours.
At the end of all the tests etc. the surgeon cancelled
his op, as on that leg, he has a Venous Ulcer, near
his ankle, so will not be able to do his knee op.

We were really disappointed, as we were excited to
get it done, after waiting for ever to get there!!
So looks like a few months now, to get it sorted.

So this is a card I made from pieces in my
bits box!

I had the background left over from another make.

The daisy strip, I used a scrap off cut of white card.
I stamped and heat embossed the daisies, with white
embossing powder.
I then used Distress Oxide Broken China, mixed with
a small amount of Glycerin for the background.
Then using a text stamp and grey ink, I randomly
stamped over the blue ink.
I then coloured the daisies with Zig Pigment Ink.

The Dragonflies are brads that I have had for years.

Looking forward to going for walks with my friend Sue.
Must loose a bit more weight!!

Thank you for stopping by and love
all your messages.

Stay safe,
Big Hugs
Carol

A super card, made even better by the fact that it was from your 'bits box', wish I could conjure up cards like this from leftovers :o)
I hope your hubby doesn't have to wait too much longer for his op, how disappointing.

A lovely card Carol, the daisies are so pretty and it's great when you manage to use up some scraps. Sorry to hear about hubby's disappointment , it must seem never ending when you're waiting like that. Have a good weekend x

What a huge disappointment for you both .. .. .. just when you thought life was going to improve. I hope that ulcer heals nice and quickly so you can back on track with everything.

A fabulous card.

Loving those daisies and your beautiful bright colour choices.
