Crafting For All Seasons Challenge 96

Hi everyone,
I hope your week is going well.

Thank goodness there is not another Friday 13th this week!!

I couldn't believe it, last Friday, when my EBosser died on me.
It had sometimes stopped, for no apparent reason before.
I just turned it off and on again and it worked. Not this time!!
Fortunately, I only had a tag die in it and
it was near enough to the front of the plates,
that I was able to pull it out. It was a brand new plate too!!

Guess what the theme is for our challenge,
at Crafting For All Seasons this fortnight?!!

Have you got it?.......

Dies and/Or Punches!!!

Just what I needed!!
I was just lucky that I hadn't sold my Joy Trouvaille machine!

Our Sponsor for this challenge is Tiffany Doodles.
The generous prize is 3 Digi images.

You can see all the fabulous Tiffany Doodles here.
The selection of stamps is amazing. You will have a hard job choosing your 3.

I chose to use this gorgeous flower called Petals Up.

I printed the image onto 300gsm Langton Watercolour paper.
I coloured it with Distress Inks.
I created the background with a mask and a mask over the image.
I used Distress inks through the mask.

I used Paul's, at Go Create dies, Frilly 8, to cut both the flower and blue mat.

The sentiment is a Spellbinders Die D-Lites  and the decorative cut out,
is a Sue Wilson Die.
I then used a corner punch to round off the corners of the 7" square card.

Oops! I nearly forgot the butterfly, which is a Sizzix Die!
It nearly didn't make it onto my card. It was sitting on my desk, when I blew a bit of fluff off my card. The butterfly took off and landed in my pot of water I was using for painting my flower!!
A quick pat with kitchen roll and a blast of heat gun and it was rescued!

I think I have met the brief for this challenge. Plenty of dies and a punch!

So let's see what you make for us to drool over!

If you would like some more inspiration, pop over to our blog, here
You can see all the gorgeous cards, from the brilliant Crafting For All Seasons
design team, which I feel very honoured to be part of.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and your lovely messages
you leave me, are truly amazing.

Hugs,
Carolxxx

A New Timepiece

Hi all, hope you are having a lovely weekend.

I have been sorting out a couple of drawers in my craft room.
Probably will regret it, as I won't remember where I have moved stuff to!
Most drawers are sort of labelled!

Tomorrow, I have my Granddaughter for the day and
Tuesday I have my Grandson.
Half term holidays. So looking forward to a couple of fun days.

My Granddaughter has to make a Victorian item for school, as homework.
So we are going to make a clock like this one but with Victorian decoration.

For this one, I used a great template from House on Zandra.
It is very easy to put together.
It was for a decorative use only but I wanted to make a working one.
I had to alter parts of the middle section, to cover the clock movement.
Only because I didn't want to see them!

On the one we are making tomorrow,
I will make the cover a bit better than this one.
As I will completely change the middle section.

The Decorations on the outside are made with paper clay.

The window in the clock front has acetate in,
so you can see the decoration inside.

I used a Marianne Die for the fence and a Wild Rose Die for the
Butterfly flourishes.
The paper at the back was free from an old magazine.
The daisy flowers are from Artista paper clay, which I Bought at The Craft Barn.
The Bunny and wooden flowers are from Art Cuts.

I really enjoyed making this clock and looking forward to
doing another tomorrow.
Now I have worked out how to modify the template!

Just to update you on my EBosser. I spoke to a lovely lady at Create and Craft Customer Service.
She has arranged for it to be collected from me on Wednesday.
As the plates are sticking out the front, I had to find a suitable box to put it in.
My hubby went to a pet shop nearby, Pets At Home.
They were very helpful and unpacked
a Gerbil Hotel Cage and gave him the box!! A perfect fit!!

I am now going to do the dreaded ironing!! Not my favourite job!

Thanks for stopping by. I love visiting your blogs and
I always leave a message.

So reading your lovely comments, gives me a lift too.
It's always nice to see who has been.
It's just a shame that all visitors don't take the time to just even say Hi!
We always will return the compliment.
It's a great way to meet new crafting friends too.

Hugs,
Carol xx

Winter Wonderland New Challenge

Hi to all my blogging friends and to my new follower Dianne, welcome.

Here we are, back again with our new challenge, at

The theme for this week is
For A Child.

We are pleased to have the amazing
Pink Gem Designs, as our sponsor for this challenge.

The prize is 2 Digis.

If you don't know Pink Gem Designs......where have you been?!!!

Their images are awesome and you will be spoilt for choice.
Click here for the link to their shop, so you can drool!!!

I chose this stunning image called  Angelica.
Isn't she beautiful?!
I loved colouring her, using Distress Inks, on Langton Water Colour, 300gsm paper.

Her eyes are amazing. I added the little charm, as it is an angel.
I thought that she has the look of an angel.

The butterfly stem die, is a Wild Rose Studio die, from The Craft Barn.

Don't forget, a Christmas image is not yet needed. That starts next month.
So get those gorgeous children's images out and have a play.
You could win 2 more stunning images.

I am looking forward to seeing your lovely creations.

Just had to add this note. My EBosser has just packed up on me with plates and dies inside!! Not a happy bunny.
What is the date today!! Oh yes! Friday 13th!!!!!!

I am still making stock for my Craft Fairs. Because I sold so much a couple of weeks ago,
I have just got to where I was before that one!!
I have 3 Fairs next month, so cracking on with new projects.
I only had 2 clocks left, so a few more of those must be made
but still redesigning them in my head!!

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me a message, even just a 'Hello'.
Then I know you have been and I can visit you too.

Crafting For All Seasons Challenge 95

Hi everyone,

We have had another sprinkle of snow this morning.
Nothing like we had on Saturday morning. That was a lot more and
even covered the road.
Sadly, my class was postponed. People were concerned about driving to
The Craft Barn, as the snow was coming down quite hard.
By lunchtime it had all gone!! Ugh!!

We have another challenge starting today, at Crafting For All Seasons.

The theme for the next fortnight is,
Have a Heart.

Our brilliant sponsor is:

with a very generous prize of 7 images!!

My card is using the Bugaboo Digi, Girlz Celebrate.
I love this image and so useful to have, as it can be used for any occasion.

I coloured her with Distress Inks, with Glossy Accents on the balloons.
The papers are very old Hot Of The Press.

I printed her onto 300gsm watercolour paper. I sketched a heart shape around the image and just cut it out with scissors.
I then layered it onto a scrap of Bazill Burgundy card and cut around.

I sprinkled a little Antique Pink Frantage around the image.
Finished with a touch of Stickles on her.

The heart I cut from Balsa wood and covered it with Frantage.
The metal heart, was from my fave shop, where every thing is one price!!

There is some amazing inspiration here, on Crafting For All Seasons blog.
My lovely DT teamies, have made some stunning cards.

I also recommend a visit to the Bugaboo shop. I just love their images.
They have great funny images, that are very difficult to find.

I am looking forward to seeing all your entries. Lots of hearts this time!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me lovely messages. I just love to read them and then I know you have been and I could visit you too!

Hugs,
Carolxx

New Winter Wonderland Challenge

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all keeping warm, here in the UK. Blimmin' freezing today!!

Thanks to all of you that joined in our last Winter Wonderland challenge.
Well done to the winners.

We now have another challenge for you, from today for 2 weeks.

The theme is
Lots Of Layers.

I know, here at Winter Wonderland, our challenges are usually Christmas cards
but for a few more weeks, any season is welcome.

We have 2 great Sponsors for this challenge.

Firstly, the amazing Kenny K.
The prize is 3 Digis of the winners choice!!

The second Sponsor is Little Claire
and the prize is TBA.

I chose this Kenny K. image for my card. She is called Clubkid.

I love her attitude and her clothes. They caught my eye and thought she would be fun to colour.

It made such a change to use Lots Of Layers, as I am well into CAS style at the moment.
I must admit, with CAS, it took me a while to accept in my head, that it was ok
not to have so much stuff on a card.

This one is still not quite what I call 'Pizza' cards, with loads of embellies!
Just loads of layers!

I coloured her with my usual Distress Inks.
I only added Stickles to the edges of the backing piece edges and on the flourish die cut.
Also, a few tiny gems in the corners.

The burlap is actually green in colour. The 'metal gem' in the middle of the bow,
is actually a plastic button. I cut the shank off the back so it would lay flat.
I bought both the assorted buttons and ribbon, from the craft fair last Saturday,
at Sandown Park Racecourse.
The green paper has embossed bird cages and flowers on and was another purchase.
It is a First Edition paper pad called Bird Song.
My resolve, I am afraid, went straight out of the window, not to buy any more papers!!
But is was the only one I bought!!

All other papers are old and from my stash...... Honest!!!:-D

Well, over to you now. Get out all those old papers, or even scraps, that you have not used for ages
and create a masterpiece with lots of layers.

For even more inspiration, pop over to the Winter Wonderland blog and have a look
at the stunning cards from my amazing teamies.

Good luck and get crafting!!

I am teaching a class on Saturday, at The Craft Barn in South Nutfield Surrey.
It's using Wild Rose Studio Stamps and Dies. I forgot to take pictures of my samples. So I must try to remember to take my camera with me!

Please take a couple of minutes to leave me a message, so I know you have popped in.
I will, of course return the compliment.

Hugs,

Carolxxxx

Crafting For All Seasons Challenge 94

Hi, All my blogging buddies.

Hope all of you in the UK are keeping warm. It has been freezing over the last few days.
When I speak to my brother-in law in Australia,
I am very jealous when he says how warm it is there!!

Today, over at Crafting For All Seasons,
we have our new fortnightly challenge starting.

The theme for this challenge is:

Things With Wings.

Our genorous sponsor for this challenge is

and the prize is 3 images.

Check out Faery Ink shop here.

You will see some stunning images.
Be one step ahead in case you win!!

The image I chose is Bee-you-tiful Pixie.

Aptly named, as I am sure you will agree, she is really beautiful.

I loved colouring her with Distress Inks, with Stickles on her wings.
Her eyes are amazing.

I cut the shape free hand, as I didn't have a die the shape I wanted!!

As you can see, the paper in the background, (free from a magazine, last year I think!),
has the shape on it that I wanted. It's supposed to be honeycomb.

So I traced the shape and then scaled it up with my ruler,
that has all measurements through the ruler.

The bees were in the paper pack too, so I cut them out.

I found the bee stamp in my stash. No idea where that buzzed in from!!

Don't know how you keep your stamps. Mine are in files, on acetate,
in punched pockets.
When I am looking for a particular image, I see stamps,
that I can't ever remember buying!!
I didn't really think I would have a bee, so was very surprised that I did!!

The sentiments were also in the pack. Very lucky for bee!!Lol!

I can't wait to see your creations.
Things With Wings, gives you such a huge selection of
different things, from fairies, to birds and even planes!!
What are you going to use?!!!

If you would like some more inspiration,
take a trip over to Crafting For All Seasons blog.
You will see my wonderful teamies, beautiful pieces of artwork.

I would like to welcome my new followers to my little corner and
hope you like what you see.
Please come back soon, as I love reading your messages.

Hugs,

This card is one of them.
Thank goodness that CAS is in vogue!!

A Lili of the Valley stamp and coloured with....Distress Inks!! Are you surprised?!!Lol!

The line just to the right of the ball on the left is a hair! Doh!!
I made him look a bit grubby.

A new baby card needs finishing!

Thanks for popping by and please leave a message, so I know you have been.
