A Fairy Door - Now A House!!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post.
They always make me smile.

This is another of my projects, that took quite a while to do.
I knew I wanted to make it a bit different from the
plain Fairy Door it was when I bought it.

Also, if it's a Fairy Door, I wanted the children to
see Fairies when they opened the door.

So firstly I removed the point on the top of the frame
and also the lock, as it was a bit chunky for me.

I painted the door and covered the frame with my Driftwood.
Finding the pieces of Driftwood that fitted together and
getting that right, took me ages!

I added a Lily of the Valley Fairy on a toadstool,
on the outside, stamped and painted on Watercolour paper.
And just a few tiny butterflies!!
Oh!! And a few flowers and foliage.

I also made a box that was the shape of the frame
and deep enough to put some fairies into it.

So when the door is opened, there are three fairies inside.

I had great fun making this, even though it wasn't easy to do.
I hope it doesn't sell too quick, as I don't think
I will make another one!

The pictures are a bit rubbish, as it was a bit gloomy
when I took them.

Thanks again for taking time to visit my little blog.
Your messages are always treasured.

Big Hugs,
Carol

To The Beach!!

It's me again, here is another posting!!
I know a bit of a shock!!

I generally don't post all of my makes, as I don't want them copied.
So I finished making this last Wednesday
and took the plunge to post it.

I used two kits of boxes from Tando,
that I had to put together with a bit of glue.
Then came the job of
deciding how I was going to decorate them!
I needed to, before I glued them all together.

I wanted to make a clock in one of the bigger boxes,
which was only 10.3cm x 7cm.
The surfboard I made from a piece of Balsa wood.

The shells we collected on our Spanish holidays,
many moons ago!
The Beach Hut, was a Paper Artsy set of nautical stamps,
that I bought from The Craft Barn.

The Beach scene, I painted with Distress Inks onto
The Langton Water colour 300gsm paper.
Just added a bit of fencing, moss and boulders (beads!).

The boat in the small box, was a Hobby Art stamp set.
I stamped it twice and decoupaged the body of the boat.
The background was just done with Copics
and a bit of dusting with chalks.

The Seahorse was a free die on a magazine and the To The Beach
sign, I made from another piece of Balsa Wood
.

I then framed the whole thing with Drift Wood, that I collected
from a beach. I had to treat it before I could use it.
That process took 3 weeks to sanitise it!!

Well I hope you like it.
I don't have any craft fairs for a few weeks, so it will
have to wait to see if it will sell!

I still have a few more projects to post!!

So thanks for stopping by and to those who left a message,
on my last couple of posts, a big thank you.

Big hugs
Carol

Another One Took Flightt!!

I know a bit of a shock!!
Another posting in 2 weeks!!

I have plenty in 'Draft' and still not posted.

Another one that I sold at the last Craft Fayre.
It's first outing and it went in the afternoon.

It was quite a big heart and I used mainly dies.
I did create the sky and the rainbow with inks though!

I cut the castle 3 times and made it a
bit more 3D. Also did the same with the clouds.

The unicorn was backed with glitter card
and then 3D over the already 3D clouds.

I must admit, I don't really get the 'Unicorn' thing!!
I love horses but at least when the Unicorn thing
cools down, I can cut the horn off and
I then still have a pretty horse die to use.

So there we are, another posting.

Thanks for stopping by. I loved reading
the messages you have left me on my posts.
So a big 'Thank You' to you all.

Big hugs,
Carol

Fold Back

Morning,
Two posts in one week!!!

The trio frames hanger in my last post,
was the first item I sold at the Craft Fayre!!
I hadn't even hung it on my stand and
one of the stall holders came to say 'hello',
saw it and said I want that and she did!!

I just found this one in Draft!!
Just a 'stock' card.

Had a play around with dies, gems, embossing folders
and a bit of DI.

Nice to get a bit of playtime!!

I have a few other things, some made
and some still in my head!!

I may even have some time to do a page or 2,
for my scrapbook.
I haven't done a single page this year!!

As it is a 'family' scrapbook, each page
has a number of photos to tell the story.
It's a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.
Especially finding the right words
to put down on paper.

It will be done!

Thanks for visiting and thank you
for your lovely messages on my last post.

Hugs,
Carol

Sun...Sea....Sand!!

Hi everyone,
Hope you had a good weekend.

We went to the beach on Friday afternoon and I even went for a paddle!
It was lovely and not too hot, as it was around 4pm.

I made this hanger, for the Craft Fayre stall that I am doing, on
next Tuesday at The Cliff Hotel, Gorleston.

I do like making things like this, as it makes a change
from cards and clocks!!

The shells are real shells.
The Sea Gulls are stamps and I cut them out.
The bucket and spade and bunting, I made from clay.
The seahorse is a die and cut from card
I had made with Distress Oxide inks.
The boat and beach hut were stamps.

Thanks for visiting and thank you for leaving
me your lovely messages.
They are all read and treasured.

Big hugs,
Carol

Adorable!!

Here I am again!!

I know you are not used to seeing me pop up with 2 cards
in a week!! I even have a third one in draft!!

I actually make hundreds for the Charity I support.
A lot of them are what I class as, not as specials.
Of course they do have a selection of specials,
but they call me if they need a very special one.

They do like CAS cards, that they can use for any occasion.

This one will be with me on this Saturday 23rd June,
at The Farmers Market/ Village and Craft Fayre.

It's in a village in Norfolk called Martham.

The image on this card is a free download from

I do love their Digis and they are great to colour.

I used Distress Inks for this sweet girl.
They are always my favourite to use.

Thank you for all your lovely messages on my
last post. I enjoy reading everyone.

So thanks for taking the time to pop in.

Big hugs,
Carol

One Stamp

Morning all,
I thought it was about time I posted a card or two that
I have been making and not a Christmas one!!

This is an old favourite stamp from Hobby Art.
Love their stamps and Jenny, the owner,
used to have a table at the Craft Barn weekend
Extravaganza events.

I was demoing at the stall next to her on one of the days.
She is great fun too!!
You can still buy this stamp and is so easy to colour.

I have used Copics this time.

This first one I think has a vintage feel.

This next one is a bit more modern.

We are waiting for a guy to come and finally
connect and supply our Smart Meter reader, up to EDF.

The meters were changed on the 10th November 2017!!
They were unable to connect them on the fitting day,
as they couldn't get a signal on their Mobile phone!!

A few months later, they managed to connect the Electricity,
remotely from their base but cannot do that with the Gas.

We did have 2 other appointments made to do this and
then cancelled at the last minute.

We are just hoping that they turn up today,
just over 7 months later!!!!!!

Update!! They came and we now have it working!!

So there we are, 2 non-Christmas cards!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit.
Would love a message so I know you have been.
They are always treasured.

Big hugs,

Carol,

Winter Wonderland Challenge

We have another challenge at Winter Wonderland,
starting today.

Our host for this challenge is the lovely Kath
and she has a gorgeous prize for the winner.

Check out the WW blog and see the prize!

The theme Kath has chosen is

Christmas Birds.

I have used an old stamp from my stash,
which I love to use.
I coloured it with Copics.

Unfortunately you cannot see that the
circle frame and the snowflakes
are cut from glitter card.

I hope you can join us at Winter Wonderland
and at least you can make a start on making
your Christmas cards.

As a design team, we will leave you a message,
so you know you have been.

Thanks for stopping by and for your
lovely messages you leave.
They are all treasured.

Big hugs,
Carol
