1 - 2 - 3 Challenge

Hi everyone,
We have a new challenge starting today at Crafting For All Seasons.

For the next 2 weeks, the theme is 1 - 2 -3, which is
1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments. Simples!!

Our Sponsor is:

and the prize for the winner is 3 Digital images.

For my DT sample, I have used 'Lovely Irene' Digi.
I coloured her with Copics for a change.
Her skin is not very good, as my pen I use, dried up on me,
before I could finish her face!:(

The background was created by putting Distress Ink in an embossing folder
and placing a piece of white card in the folder,
then running it through my machine.

I have added some Stickles around the bottom edge of her dress
and on her hair decoration. Not visible I'm afraid!

I hope you will join in the fun at Crafting For All Seasons.
You could be the winner of some gorgeous Digis to use for ever!!

Please check out all the beautiful cards that our DT
have made, to inspire you.

Thanks for visiting me and I read every message you leave me.
Then I enjoy returning the favour to you.

Hugs,
Carolxxx

Winter Wonderland Challenge - Festive Food

Hi everyone,

A new challenge, at Winter Wonderland starts today, for 2 weeks.

Our sponsor for this challenge is....d-dohhh...

and the prize is......

A £10 Voucher!!

It's very easy to enter our challenge.
You just need to make a Christmas card and
the theme is ....... Festive Food.

I know my card is very loosely Festive Food!!
I think some people would eat a Partridge at Christmas.
I must admit, that I don't actually know anyone that would!!
I only know that it's in the Twelve Days of Christmas song.

I have no idea as to why a Partridge would be in a
Pear Tree either!!Lol!!
If you know, please leave me a message!!!

The paper was from an old paper pad
and the stamps are antiques too!!
All images were heat embossed in gold.

The holly is a Sue Wilson die, with dots of red Stickles for the berries.

Well that's it from me, except to say that our challenge is
great fun and an excellent way, of getting ahead
with making your Christmas cards.

Also you can win brilliant prizes too!
So how bad is that?!!!

I am surprised how many I have made already.
Instead of making just one,
I do a couple more and my box is getting quite full.

If you need some inspiration, the wonderful design team,
have some stunning cards on our blog.
So pop over and have a look, here.

Don't forget,
YOU HAVE TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT!!!

Hugs,

Posh Shoes!!

Hello All,

I had forgotten that I had started this post
and was going to shock you, by posting straight after my last one!!
I know that I am a very naughty blogger as far as posting
but I am trying this year to be better!

My next goal is to try and join in with more challenges.
I just never seem to have the time and then when I have done one, I forget.
I did that once and I missed getting the prize I had won!Doh!!
Note to myself.... I must try harder!

I bought these stamps from House of Zandra,
at Sandown Park Fair in February.
She was selling the set, which has 2 shoes and embellies in the set for £5!
So I bought 3 sets of shoes and bags.

I coloured the shoe with Distress Inks and added a touch of Stickles.
I was playing with the inks and trying to get a suede effect.
Not sure it worked though!

The die I bought at Ally Pally, which is a Nesties Labels 40.
..................................................................................
I just had to put a couple of photos of a couple of plants in my garden.
I love Spring and my Pieris is such a show off plant.
The fence behind it is 7' high!

This Ceonothus is next to it and opens a couple of weeks after the Pieris.
They are right by the conservatory, so perfect placing for viewing.

I do have another shoe card made, as it was a commission,
I will show it after her birthday.

Thanks for popping in and please leave me a message,
so I know you have been.
Then I will pop over to your blog.

I will be back with another Winter Wonderland challenge post on Friday.
So would love it, if you can join our challenge that is still open.
You have one day left to join in and have a chance to win.

Hugs,

Crafting For All Seasons Challenge

Hi everyone,
another challenge at Crafting For All Seasons starts today.

I highly recommend that you join
 in this brilliant challenge.
'Why' I hear you say........well we have 8 Sponsors!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes really, 8 chances of winning a brilliant prize!!!

All you have to do is make a card to the theme,
which is very easy.
It is to have 4 of something, which can be anything you like,
as long as there are 4 of them.

How difficult is that?!!!Lol!!

One of our sponsors is Just Ink Lined

This is one of their floral images, called Peony.
I coloured the image with Distress Inks.
My Peony is this colour and hopefuly will open before
the end of the week.

Can you spot what my '4' are?  I'll give you a clue,
that I have 2 things of 4.
Answer at the bottom of post!LOL!!

I asked Hubby and he could see one but not the other one!

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, a set which I bought last week.

Now I would like to suggest that you head over to
and see all the prizes that you can win.

Oh, before you do, don't forget to leave me a message so I know you have been.
Of course I will return the favour, with a message on your blog.
You could also join my lovely followers and then I could join you too.

My things of 4 are, firstly the easy one was the 4 pearls
on the butterfly
and the other is, 4 layers of different papers.
Did you get it? I am sure you did!Hee!Hee!

Well thanks for stopping by and hop on over to CFAS blog and have a go. You have 2 weeks to get your card made.
You will also see some beautiful cards, from my talented
teamies, for some clever ideas.

Hugs,
Carol S.xx

Collectors Box

Morning to everyone and Happy Sunday.

The sun is sort of out here in West Sussex.
Lots of cloud about but better than yesterday.
That's the weather report out of the way!!

We had a holiday 2 summers back, in Suffolk and Norfolk.
We found this amazing shop that sold everything, from a plastic spoon
to wooden items, like this display box.
I bought loads of smaller items too, that I have already sold.

For some reason, the 2 display boxes have sat on a shelf untouched!

Then, last week I had a light bulb moment and
knew what I wanted to do with at least one of them!
And this is what that was!!

An emulsion paint, crackle job first on the outside.
Add a bit of Grunge Paste onto it (bottom right) and a couple
of Paper Clay flourishes.
A Sue Wilson flower die, 2 Marianne Creatables leaves
and a Memory Box Butterfly added.
A touch of Distress Inks and Treasure Brass Gilding Wax.......Job done!!
Well the outside was done!!Lol!!

The inside was more difficult, choosing papers and items.
I wanted to leave space for whoever has it, to put into it what they want to.

I still have the other one to do but I will wait until I see what
comments I get from this one.

I am doing a School Summer Fair next Saturday.
It's in the village where we used to live and is the school
my Grandchildren go to.

It's the first time they have had stalls from people outside of the school.
I just hope they have a nice day for the event.

Thanks for visiting my little corner in Sussex.
A big thank you for the lovely comments you leave me.

Blogland is such a wonderful place to be a part of and I love visiting your blogs.
To be able to leave messages for you too.

It's wonderful to read, the supportive messages on our friends blogs,
that are perhaps going through difficult times.
It's also lovely, to be able to add a little note of support to them.
Don't you think?!!

Big hugs,
Carolxxxx

Winter Wonderland Challenge - Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi to you all in blogland.
We have our new challenge at Winter Wonderland starting today.

With the weather we have just had, it was more like Winter than Spring!!

The theme for this weeks challenge is Oh Christmas Tree!
That means you must have a Christmas Tree, somewhere in your design.
It could even be in the backing paper.

I just had to use a Lili of the Valley stamp, James the bear with his tree.
So I made an easel card using Trimcraft papers in the background.
I coloured the image with Distress Inks and added glitter,
to the trim on his hat, on the tree and on the ground.

Isn't he just an adorable bear. I just think he is the best in the whole world!!
So easy to colour too.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Powered by Zen Cart :: The Art of E-Commerce

The prize you could win is a very generous $20 voucher!!
You can spend it in their shop here.
Pop over now to see their amazing bargains!

Don't forget your card has to be a Christmas card
and with a Christmas tree somewhere visible!

Pop over to our blog HERE and see all the wonderful creations from the
Snowflake team. Bags of inspiration!
