Quick and Easy

I loved using this Edge Die.
It was very quick, once you worked out
the angle you wanted it to be on!

I used white and red glitter card, both bought
in Hobbycraft in Norwich.

Added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal drops for the berries.
Loved the result and no glitter all over my desk!

Thanks for stopping by, as I know you must
all be very busy at the moment.

I feel very strange, as I don't have to be making
things for Craft Fayres!!

I now have time to play with my clay and get some
new ideas for next year. Also some mixed media
canvases will be fun.

I will love to read your messages you leave me.
I will now be getting back to your blogs too.

Big hugs,
Carol

Special Friend

Wakey, wakey I am back again!!!

I am afraid it was head down and make 42 Christmas cards!!
I had a few already made but not enough.

I did my last Craft Fair on the 3rd of this month and had record
sales this year!! Selling exactly 40 of my fabric Baubles,
certainly gave my sales a boost.
Two of them are going to Australia, when the guy
who bought them returns to his home near Sydney.

I made this Christmas card for a very special friend and gave
it to her today. She loved it.

We both love shabby chic and really enjoyed making it.
The photo is not very good, as the weather we were
having for the last few days, was wet, dark and miserable.

I have had the papers for some time and didn't want
to cut into them! But for her, I got the courage to do so!!

We had a trip to The Norwich and Norfolk Hospital this
morning. So I had to get up at 6.30am to get to her house
by 8am, in time to make her appointment.
I went with her to see the new consultant, for her ongoing illness.
For the first time we came out with a diagnosis. Yippee!!
It has taken over 2 years and loads of tests, to finally getting
a brilliant consultant, that will give a definite diagnosis to her!!

We left the hospital very happy and now know what they
are going to do, to try to get her back to normal.

So we went into the city. Had a lovely lunch and did
a bit of Christmas shopping.
I bought myself (for hubby to wrap up and give it to me on the day)
a gorgeous Jasper Conran bag.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a lovely message,
that I appreciate and so I can message you on your blog too.

Big hugs,
Carol

Snow and Advent Calendar.

A very quick post.
Firstly, a big thank you to the 6 lovely people
that left me messages on my last post.

As I explained, my lack of posting is due to the
very busy time for Craft Fairs for me.

I have now completed 23 Fairs and only 5 more to do!!
Most of them have been very busy and I have sold a lot
of my makes. Great for my charity but late nights for me!!

I have now sold 29 of my baubles!! Crazy!!

This Mr & Mrs Snow sold on it's first outing.
I have made another one for my next fairs this weekend.

I did also mention on a post that I was doing a cross stitch
Advent Calendar. I have finished it now and will be
posted to my Grandson shortly.
I haven't used Aida for many years, as
I prefer the finish that linen gives.

I had finished all the cross stitch but I then had to find
time to sew it all together and also attach it to
a piece of card for the backing.

Well back to my desk to finish a little project.

Thank you for visiting and will catch up with you shortly.

Big hugs,
Carol.

This and That!!

Firstly, I would love to thank Julie,
who joined my blog as a follower.
I hope you enjoy what you see.

Just another quick post but lots of pictures!

I had been searching for this Woodware stamp
for ages. I found it a few weeks ago in a Craft Shop,
Noble Crafts in Great Yarmouth.
It was in a clearance box too!!

I can remember playing with this stamp
on a Demo Day at The Craft Barn.
I was in the studio with Chris Dark (an amazing artist)
over the other side of the room.

We were having great fun with the customers.
She saw this card and shouted over to me
'How on earth did you do that!!'

So this time I made 3 with different colours!
I can still hear her!!

Christmas has finally arrived here!!

It took me 41/2 hours to do all the decs.
How long does it take you!!

The little Santa on the floor, I made for my Daughter's first
Christmas. She was 45 on the 30th November!!

The tree!!

These I made separately but they go quite well together.

Well that was supposed to be a quick post!!

Thanks for popping in and I treasure all your
lovely messages.

Big hugs,
Carol

A Nutty Angel....Or Two or Three!!

A very quick post today.
I was at a Christmas Craft Fair yesterday, in
The John Grant School in Caister.

WOW!!!
It was only 4 hours but I came home with
2 of my big storage boxes totally empty!!!

So a big thank you to Lyn, who with her team, put
on an amazing day.

All the items below were just a few of the small
things that went.

This is my Nutty Angels decoration.
It is a real nut that I have had for years.
I have one myself but wanted to decorate this one,
in a better way than I have mine. So made the clay angels.
I then added the greenery and ribbons.

This is my Snowball Bauble!!
Made and sold loads of them. The leaves I cut from felt.
Just got 2 left.

This hanger I sold at the last Craft Fair.

I made loads of these baubles.
This was a medium size. Made with 80 pieces
of fabric and double that of sequin pins.
The big ones had over 120
pieces of fabric and over 240 pins!!!

Then added cones, berries, leaves and ribbons.

This is a small one and this was sold but have 3 small ones left.

I only have 2 small and I large Snow Family scenes left.

I am now going back to my desk to finish making
a couple of unicorn boxes and a Unicorn plaque.
I make the Unicorns with clay.
They all flew away today!!

Then I have to paint a watercolour picture of the sea and a beach,
on a plaque. Sold out of them today!

Thank you for finding time to pop in and leave me a message.
It is so busy for us crafters at this time of year.

Big hugs,
Carol

Christmas Fave!!

Evening all!!

Can't remember who always said that!!
Anyway a very short post, as I am snowman making!!
I have made one family this afternoon.

If you saw my facebook page, you would know
that I did 3 Craft Fairs last month and one already
this month and I sold all of my Snow Families!!

So, as I have another 11 fairs before Christmas,
I thought I had better get some more made.

This pretty little lady below, is certainly one of my
favourite stamps from Lili Of The Valley this year.
I stamped her onto water colour 300gsm
card and used Distress Inks to colour her.

I had made cards with all the new ones I bought
and one couple bought them all! So I will have to find time
to make more of them too!!

Does anyone know where I apply to have longer days than 24 hours?!!!

Well that's all the time I have, so back to my desk.

Thanks for popping in and please leave me a message,
so I know you have been.
They are all read and treasured.

Big hugs,
Carol

Winter Wonderland Challenge

If you have been trying to get on
our Winter Wonderland new
challenge today, we had a problem
with blogger.
I have now managed to get the post
back and it's working.
Thanks to Helen!
Carol

Today we have a new challenge at Winter Wonderland.

I am the host for this challenge and I chose the theme as
Christmas Flowers.

It would be a good time to join us and
a great incentive to get you started on making your
Christmas cards. Especially if you have been putting it off!

The challenge lasts for 2 weeks, so plenty of time to enter.
The closing date is Thursday 26th October at 5pm.

You can enter 3 cards but to go into the draw they must
be Christmas cards only and have Christmas Flowers,
somewhere in your design.

Our Sponsor for this challenge is
Little Claire Designs and they very kindly gave us
a couple of Digis to use.

I chose Christmas Candle and it can be seen Here

I coloured it with Copics for a change.
It was very easy and enjoyable to colour.

A little bit of Stickles of course!

The prize for the winner, from our very generous
3 Digis of your choice!

If you would like even more inspiration, pop over to
see my Icicles Teamies at the Winter Wonderland blog

Thank you for visiting my little corner, in the beautiful
County of Suffolk.
The sun is shining as I am writing this, so it will have
to be a walk on the beach this afternoon!

Thank you for the lovely messages on my last post.
I appreciate them all so very much.

Big hugs,

Carol

Robin Redbreast!!

I bought a few LOTV new Christmas stamps but
only have had the time to use one!
The three days of Craft Fayres I have done over the last week
have been madness!!!

I have to now make more stock for the next
Fayres, on 21st and 22nd of this month.
They are at Cherry Lane Garden Centre in Fritton, Norfolk.
Fortunatley, just a 10 minute drive from home.

So back to my card!
This was my favourite stamp and just had to
make time to use it!!

I coloured it with my Distress Inks.
I love Robins and he is so super cute!!

Well, thanks for finding the time to pop in and for
leaving a lovely message!! I hope!!

Winter Wonderland Challenge Tribute

Hi everyone,
this is a very special Challenge, here at Winter Wonderland.

Both teams are coming together for a tribute challenge,
for the lovely lady, Eileen, who owned this challenge blog.
As you may know from a previous post, Eileen sadly passed away.
She will be truly missed by all of us and her family.

We as a team, have come together, with the lovely Helen taking the reins,
along with a few team members as a back up,
to keep Winter Wonderland challenge running.
It shows the strength of our team. Go Girls!!!!

So the theme for this challenge is
Anything goes - Christmas.

I have used a Woodware stamp I bought a couple of years ago,
at The Craft Barn. I had only used it once last Christmas.
I really enjoyed making this card and will now make a few
more with this stamp for next Christmas!

The centre tree is 3D and have coloured it with Copics.
You can also use this stamp up the other way as Baubles.

We have a brilliant Sponsor for our challenge this fortnight.
They are LC Designs.

The prize is a very generous Three Free Digis.

I know Steve who is the owner of the business along with his wife Gill.
Many years ago, he used to come to our Extravaganza weekends
at The Craft Barn, where I was a Tutor and Demonstrator.
He is now on TV on Hochanda. Next show is 20th March.
I also had the pleasure of being on his design team.

So we are looking forward to seeing your masterpieces.
You have until the 2nd March to enter.
We will leave a message on your blog so you know we have been!

Good Luck.
Hugs,
Carol

Deck The Halls.....Or Your Windowsill!!

Just a little something that I threw together.
I say little but it's about 2 feet long!

Somebody called Marianne visited my stall on Saturday
and she seemed to rather like this decoration!! Hee! Hee!

I think the description 'Mixed Media' really suits this.
It's got a bit of everything on it!

I am not too bothered if it doesn't sell,
as I have just the place for it.
I've got some of those tiny lights that I will thread through it.

I've just noticed in the pic the tree on the right looks
wonky. It isn't, it's the angle the camera was seeing.

If you click on the picture you will see it better.

Well back to my desk, as I have a few more snowmen to paint.

I am making replacements of the things I sold last Saturday.
I have a stall in a very old church on Saturday.
Then on Sunday I have a stall at the Cliff Hotel in Gorleston.

Thanks for popping in and leaving your lovely messages.
I appreciate every one of them.
Hugs,

Carol xxxx
