One Stamp

Morning all,
I thought it was about time I posted a card or two that
I have been making and not a Christmas one!!

This is an old favourite stamp from Hobby Art.
Love their stamps and Jenny, the owner,
used to have a table at the Craft Barn weekend
Extravaganza events.

I was demoing at the stall next to her on one of the days.
She is great fun too!!
You can still buy this stamp and is so easy to colour.

I have used Copics this time.

This first one I think has a vintage feel.

This next one is a bit more modern.

We are waiting for a guy to come and finally
connect and supply our Smart Meter reader, up to EDF.

The meters were changed on the 10th November 2017!!
They were unable to connect them on the fitting day,
as they couldn't get a signal on their Mobile phone!!

A few months later, they managed to connect the Electricity,
remotely from their base but cannot do that with the Gas.

We did have 2 other appointments made to do this and
then cancelled at the last minute.

We are just hoping that they turn up today,
just over 7 months later!!!!!!

Update!! They came and we now have it working!!

So there we are, 2 non-Christmas cards!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit.
Would love a message so I know you have been.
They are always treasured.

Big hugs,

Carol,
xxxxxx

Here Comes The Bride!!

Hi to my lovely followers.

First a big 'Thank You' to the loyal followers that
leave me such lovely messages.
It makes my day to read them.

I do so love visiting your blogs and always leave a message.
I thought that's what blogs were for and I am lucky enough
to have made such great friends across the miles too.

I am selling quite a lot of wedding cards at the moment.
I do love making them, as they are for such a special day
for the lovely couples.

This is just a very simple one and mainly using dies.
Very different for me, not having an image!!

The colour I added is Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Shimmer Polish.

Love this product, as it dries very quickly and the colours are gorgeous.

I bought mine at The Craft Barn.
I started with a couple and now have loads!!

Did you visit The Craft Barn Sale?!!!
They had hundreds of orders in one day, that made part of the stock control
program crash!!

They are now finishing all the picking and packing from those orders.
They still have quite a lot of stock in some areas.

So watch for the next discount as it will be 70% off!!!

Yes I did say 70% off!!!!!!

Thank you for stopping by and you know
I will always return the compliment.

Big hugs,

Carol

Oxide Playtime

A short post today as I must put our dinner in the oven!!

I have been digging in the garden this afternoon.
Now my back is telling me it's a while since I have done it....

Such a lovely sunny day, so thought I would get a bit
of fresh air.

I at last found a bit of time to play with my
Distress Oxide Inks.
So did a quick background with them.

The stamp I think is a very old Penny Black.
Not too sure, as I have had it for many years.

I am hoping to play a bit more soon.

Don't forget to check out The Craft Barn Sale.
More products reduced now and even more money off!!
Plenty of bargains to have.
I won't tell you how much I have spent!!!
Well you just have too don't you!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine as we are.
Let me know you have been and I will leave you a message too,

Big hugs,
Carol

Girls Gotta Have Fun!!

STOP PRESS:
Changes at the CRAFT BARN

There are big changes at The Craft Barn, as
Sandy and Ian are going to retire.
If you want to treat yourself to some bargains
pop over and see the full details how you can
get them.
HERE is the link for the shop and from
there, the details are on their blog at
and facebook page.

I thought it was about time I posted some of the
cards that are sitting in Draft!!

This was a stamp set that was a freebie from a Magazine.

Great fun to colour and love the sentiment.

I had a rotten cold last week and it's years since
I had last had one!!
Hope it's another few years before the next one!!

In addition to that, for about 5 weeks, I have had a problem
with my left hand. Even though I am 'right handed', I
actually use my left more than my right.
That goes back to being a hairdresser for 55 years!!

OMG!!! Where did those years go!!!!!
I thought I was only 50!! (In my head I am 35!!)

It's mainly my thumb that is very painful. I went to see the
Doctor and he said he thinks I have bruised a tendon in my hand.
It could take up to 8 weeks to mend and if not, I have to
go to a Physio.

I sometimes struggle to get the tops of Copic pens,
without having this problem.
So I make sure hubby is around to take the
tops off for me now!!

Distress Inks I think for now!!

Thanks for popping in and I still love to read
your kind messages.

Big hugs
Carol

Winter Wonderland Challenge

A new challenge at Winter Wonderland
starts today, with the Icicles Team.

Our host is the lovely Marlene and the theme she chose is
Outdoor Fun

Don't forget we are a Christmas only challenge.

Our new Sponsor is Dr. Digi's and very kindly gave us a
choice of stamps to use.
As my husband comes from Australia, it had to be

I coloured him with Copics Pens.

You can't see it, but his beard and surfboard are glittery.
I used a Spectrum Noir Overlay Sparkle Pen.

I added the spots with a Sakura Gel Pen.

So we are looking forward to seeing your Christmas only
entries. We will visit your blog and leave you a message,
if you fit the criteria.

Thank you for your lovely messages you left me
on my last post.
I do love to read them and are very uplifting.

Big hugs

Pretty In Pink

Hope you are all snow free!

Just a quick post of an adorable Stamping Bella stamp,
called Waterlily.

Loving the Flower Girl Stamps.

For a change, I coloured her with my Inktense Pencils.
They give a much softer look.

The sentiments are Die cut from Funky Foam and I heated them
a little with my heat gun. Just makes them a little smaller.

Have a lovely week, wherever you are and keep warm!!

Don't forget that there are bargains to get
from The Craft Barn Sale.
New products have been added.

Thanks for popping in and hope you have time
to leave a lovely message.
They are all read and treasured.

Big Hugs,
Carol

Tribute Challenge at Winter Wonderland

Hi Everyone and welcome to a very special challenge at
Winter Wonderland.

All the members of our Design Team are joining together,
as a tribute to a lovely lady, that sadly is no longer with us.

Eileen was the last lady, that up until this time last year,
was running the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog.
She is certainly missed and as a DT group, we all agreed that
we would like to get together, to keep the blog running.

So this challenge is with Eileen in mind.

The theme is
Anything Goes
But please remember we are a Christmas card only challenge.

We have  a new Sponsor joining us,

They have very generously given all the DT members,
a set of their fabulous Digi Stamps.

The set I chose is called Poinsettia and you get an amazing
selection of images in this set.

To see all the fabulous Digi sets click on

I am looking forward to seeing your Christmas cards.
We will visit you blogs and leave a comment,
if we are able.

It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland.

As I  am hosting this one, I chose the theme, which is

All Boxed Up!

As in my card below, this is one idea.

Pop over to the Winter Wonderland blog to see the
stunning cards from our talented Icicles Team,
for more inspiration.

For my card I used an image given to us from our generous sponsor
Sasayaki Glitter.

It is called Christmas Penguin
and can be found here

The prize is a Digi of your choice .

You have 2 weeks to create a lovely Christmas card
and it must be Christmas to be entered into the draw.

The challenge closes at 5pm on Thursday 15th February.

We will visit your blogs and will leave you a message
so you know we have been.
There are some blogs we are unable to visit,
so please read the list on the challenge page.

to the Winter Wonderland blog to see if you have won.

Winter Wonderland Challenge

If you have been trying to get on
our Winter Wonderland new
challenge today, we had a problem
with blogger.
I have now managed to get the post
back and it's working.
Thanks to Helen!
Carol

Today we have a new challenge at Winter Wonderland.

I am the host for this challenge and I chose the theme as
Christmas Flowers.

It would be a good time to join us and
a great incentive to get you started on making your
Christmas cards. Especially if you have been putting it off!

The challenge lasts for 2 weeks, so plenty of time to enter.
The closing date is Thursday 26th October at 5pm.

You can enter 3 cards but to go into the draw they must
be Christmas cards only and have Christmas Flowers,
somewhere in your design.

Our Sponsor for this challenge is
Little Claire Designs and they very kindly gave us
a couple of Digis to use.

I chose Christmas Candle and it can be seen Here

I coloured it with Copics for a change.
It was very easy and enjoyable to colour.

A little bit of Stickles of course!

The prize for the winner, from our very generous
3 Digis of your choice!

If you would like even more inspiration, pop over to
see my Icicles Teamies at the Winter Wonderland blog

Thank you for visiting my little corner, in the beautiful
County of Suffolk.
The sun is shining as I am writing this, so it will have
to be a walk on the beach this afternoon!

Thank you for the lovely messages on my last post.
I appreciate them all so very much.

Big hugs,

Carol

From this!!

What a busy week we had last week!! Non stop every day.
Ending on Sunday, meeting friends at Thetford Craft show.
We really enjoyed the day.

One of my friends came up here for my birthday and brought
bags of craft goodies for me. She is a lovely lady and a special friend.

In one bag, there was mount board pieces she had die cut for me.

I worked out how to put it together and then decided
what I was going to make it into.

To this!!!

So this is the idea that I had in my head!!
A Fairy House.

A couple of weeks ago, we had been driftwood collecting,
on the beach that we can walk to from our house.

I had wanted to do something like this.

I enjoyed every minute of the hours it took to finish it!!
I wanted to get the detail right.

I made the fence posts on both sides, with small driftwood bits and
wired them together.

Just a close up of my working bell and the fence.

For the top roof ridge tile, I made it from a scrap of card.

The roof opens and looks sweet with a battery T light inside.
I cut the rustic window out and backed it with a piece of acetate.

So now I have finished it, my husband doesn't want me to sell it!

I have got the pieces to make another one, so I will get it made.

My friend Marianne's husband asked me what I was doing
with driftwood. So Graham, this is it!!

Thanks for visiting my blog and hope to see you again.
Please leave me a message so I know you have been.

Big hugs,
Carol

Santa's Sleigh

Just a quick post today.

The Sleigh sides were given to me from a special friend.
I just made a box to join the sides together.
I drew some trees on some Greyboard.
As I didn't have a mould for the Poinsettia,
I cut around a die with a scalpel on my clay.
Added the detail with a cocktail stick.

Another addition for my stall at my next Craft Fayre at
Cherry Lane Garden Centre, Fritton, near Gt. Yarmouth.
We are there for the weekend, 23rd and 24th this month.

Thanks for popping into my little blog.
Thanks in advance for the lovely comments you leave me.

Have a lovely weekend.
Hugs,
Carol
