Winter Wonderland Mega August Challenge

This is the last challenge until 26th August at Winter Wonderland.

Our host for this Mega Challenge is our lovely Marlene.

Two themes for you to choose one or mix them both together.
First one is
Show Us Your Gold/Silver
And/Or
Use An Embossed Background.

I had hoped to do both but my die cutting machine broke on me,
so was unable to emboss the background.

I have used a Digi from A Day For Daisies called Mr Snowman.

They are one of 3 Sponsors we have for this challenge.
Details below pictures.

I coloured him with my Inktense Pencils for a change.

I added snow with my 3D glue and topped it with Cosmic Shimmer Glitter.
The charm was from my stash.

Our very generous sponsors are, in no particular order:

Their prize is a£10 voucher to use in their shop

Their prize is also a £10 voucher to spend in their shop

Their prize is an £8 voucher to use in their shop

You can enter up to 3 cards only per person.
So good luck and get those cards in and don't forget
you have to be in it to win it!!

PS: My replacement machine arrived today. I ordered it on the 18th July,
It was dispatched on the 21st July.
It had to travel for 1 hour from the shop to my home.

They said it would be delivered between 22nd and 26th July.
It arrived today, after me putting in a complaint.
I had paid £5.75 for the delivery charge. (Company have refunded that)

I still don't understand why it should take so long to travel 1 hour!!!
I was getting concerned, as I have a wedding order to deliver on Tuesday
and I couldn't finish it without the machine.

If inspiration would be helpful, pop over to
the challenge page and you will see all my Teamies
wonderful works of art.

I am looking forward to seeing your amazing entries
and visiting your blogs.

Big hugs,
Carol xxxx

Boxed!

Just a quick post today.
A little wooden box I made...well not the box itself,
just decorated it!!

My fave crackle effect on the top.
Added a few flowers from Hobbycraft and of course,
a Marianne designs butterfly die.

The wooden heart was from my stash, as is the paper.

The beautiful lace is from Crafty Ribbons.
The quality of this lace is far better than most I have seen.
You really have to see and handle it.

The paper I used for the inside is a Kirsty Allsop paper pad.

There a lot of new ribbons over at the Crafty Ribbons store
and all at very good prices.
As a ribbon addict myself, I think I know my ribbons.
They certainly come into the 'Stroke, Look At' and
put back in the box category!!
It really hurt me to cut into this lace! Lol!!

Can't believe it but my die cutting machine has broken.
A Couture Creations A4 folder got stuck in the machine.
For some reason they have the join on the sides,
which makes them wider than the plates.
If you don't get them in perfectly, they get stuck which mine did.
Just had to order a new machine!!
Not a happy bunny!!

Thanks for popping in and leaving me your lovely messages.
Will visit you back too.
Hugs,

Carol xxxx

All at Sea!!

These are plaques I painted yesterday.
I first did 3 for the Craft Fair I did at the hotel last week
and I sold 2 straight away, much to my surprise.

They are just painted onto some MDF that I had and hubby
drilled the holes for me.

I made 6 in total yesterday and all are slightly different.
The beach huts are all different colour combos.

Back to making an order for a big fairy clock.
Then onto an order for two wedding keepsake boxes.

Our garden is a tip at the moment, so can't do
any more work out there.
The landscapers have taken up all the grass today
and most of the slabs went last week.
I will post a few pics that I have taken every day.

Thanks for visiting and love reading you comments.
Always makes me a smile.
Hugs,
