Going Boating!!

Where has our Summer gone?!!
Even the heating came on a couple of nights.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post.
I do love reading them and they are much appreciated.

This little lad is another LOTV stamps, that has been around
for ages but still used a lot.

I now have a couple of Craft Fairs booked.
So nice to do one, but as it is a new venue, I don't
expect to sell much, as it's only been there once before.

There has been a lot of advertising, which is the most
important thing to do but doesn't always work.

Have a lovely weekend.
Big hugs,
Carol

It's A Goal!!!

It's a Goal, thanks to LOTV.
I've had these stamps for ages and not used
them for a while.
I stamped all three of them twice, onto Watercolour card and
painted them with watercolour paints from Hobbycraft.

The balls and the word 'goal', I fussy cut from one set,
and using foam pads on the balls, I attached them to the
base ones. The word 'Goal' I cut out and using PinFlair
gel glue, I stuck the word onto the base.
When they were in place on the card front,
I then put Glossy Accents on the balls and the word.

Thank you for lovely messages on my last post.
My sister is now back home but very tired.
Her dog and husband were both so happy to have her home.

I do love reading your messages and they really helped
me get through the last few weeks. You ae all so kind.
So thanks again and I will visit your posts and leave a message too.
 Big hugs and stay safe,
Carol

Bottoms Up!!

Just a quick post today.
I have been working on a project for a few days.
I was making it up as I went along.
So stopping at times to work  out  the best
way to do the next thing.

As it is a gift for a friend of over 30 years, she
is well worth it!! It is a special birthday for her
coming up at the weekend and I have to finish it
and get it in the post, as she lives in West Sussex.
Still have to make a card as well!!

This card below I made for stock and is already out,
at one of the charities I supply cards to.

The 'Bottoms Up' is an old Lili of the Valley stamp and
goes well with an old stamp, of Wine, cheese and grapes.
I think the stamp was from a magazine.
I stamped it with Versafine black ink.

The wine bottle, cheese and grapes are all coloured
with Copic pens.

So I will try to post my friends pressie here
at the weekend.

Off now back to my craft room, as I also have
to make a box, strong enough for Royal Mail!!

Thank you  for your  lovely messages on my last post.
They are always read and appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of the week.
Stay safe.
Big hugs,
Carol

A Red Heart!!

Trying to get some different items made for the Craft Market next month.

I have used a Lili Of the Valley paper as the background.
The flowers are from Hobbycraft .

A simple make, just added a line of Gold Embossing
powder to the edge of the heart, to finish it off.

Also added the sentiment, using an old stamp and
Gold Embossing powder.

I just wish I had made things in all the spare time I had!!

Never mind, I didn't know there would be the chance
of selling any of my items!!

So looking forward to the first one!!

Thanks for your lovely comments on my last post.

Big hugs,
Carol

Winter Wonderland Challenge

Hi everyone!
It's time for a new challenge at

The theme is 'Colour It'.

As always, Christmas cards only.

There isn't a Sponsor for this challenge
but we will still be picking our top three.
They will get our Top 3 badge to display
on their blog.

I have used one of the new stamps from
She is on the stamp sheet
'Sweet Christmas'.
You even get an additional stamp for the
candle and holly.
I stamped and coloured it and fussy cut it
out, then 3D it onto the main image.

I coloured her with Distress Inks on 300gsm Water Colour card.

So get ahead with your Christmas card making and
have a bit of fun with us here,
at Winter Wonderland.

Thanks for popping in and I will be commenting
on your makes too.

Big hugs,

Christmas Fave!!

Evening all!!

Can't remember who always said that!!
Anyway a very short post, as I am snowman making!!
I have made one family this afternoon.

If you saw my facebook page, you would know
that I did 3 Craft Fairs last month and one already
this month and I sold all of my Snow Families!!

So, as I have another 11 fairs before Christmas,
I thought I had better get some more made.

This pretty little lady below, is certainly one of my
favourite stamps from Lili Of The Valley this year.
I stamped her onto water colour 300gsm
card and used Distress Inks to colour her.

I had made cards with all the new ones I bought
and one couple bought them all! So I will have to find time
to make more of them too!!

Does anyone know where I apply to have longer days than 24 hours?!!!

Well that's all the time I have, so back to my desk.

Thanks for popping in and please leave me a message,
so I know you have been.
They are all read and treasured.

Big hugs,
Carol

A Fairy Door - Now A House!!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post.
They always make me smile.

This is another of my projects, that took quite a while to do.
I knew I wanted to make it a bit different from the
plain Fairy Door it was when I bought it.

Also, if it's a Fairy Door, I wanted the children to
see Fairies when they opened the door.

So firstly I removed the point on the top of the frame
and also the lock, as it was a bit chunky for me.

I painted the door and covered the frame with my Driftwood.
Finding the pieces of Driftwood that fitted together and
getting that right, took me ages!

I added a Lily of the Valley Fairy on a toadstool,
on the outside, stamped and painted on Watercolour paper.
And just a few tiny butterflies!!
Oh!! And a few flowers and foliage.

I also made a box that was the shape of the frame
and deep enough to put some fairies into it.

So when the door is opened, there are three fairies inside.

I had great fun making this, even though it wasn't easy to do.
I hope it doesn't sell too quick, as I don't think
I will make another one!

The pictures are a bit rubbish, as it was a bit gloomy
when I took them.

Thanks again for taking time to visit my little blog.
Your messages are always treasured.

Big Hugs,
Carol

The Wedding!!

Can I suggest that you get yourself a tea or coffee,
as this is quite a long post!!!

All this happened within 8 weeks, with Christmas
in the middle of it!!
With lots of laughter too!!

As some of you know, I have been helping my friend Lorraine
with arranging her wedding.

They had been together for 30 years!!
They also have a daughter and grandchildren!!
So it was about time!!

The first thing for me to do last December, was to make
the invitations.

They are 2 champagne glasses that linked together
at the front.

Lorraine bought her dress and it was just a few inches too long.
So I fitted the length and then cut it.
The dress had 2 layers and both were very organza like.
So we used bonding web, as sewing them wouldn't work.

This was the cake and I showed Lorraine how to make
the Roses, so we could make them together.
I then stuck them onto the cake.
We did have so much fun doing them!

For the top of the cake, as they are a more mature couple,
we came up with the idea of a wooden heart
and I covered it with Gilding Flakes.

Lorraine bought the favour boxes on line and filled them
with chocolates. I die cut the tags and did the place names on
the computer and Lorraine stuck them on the tags,

The next job was the flower arrangements for the tables.

We went out to find some decent silk flowers
and after a few failures, we found these.
I then had the job of doing the arrangements and had
Lorraine chopping each stem, to the length I wanted!
She was a great assistant!!

Fortunately I still had a roll of my Florist tape and ribbon.

This was for the top table.

These were for the guest tables

I then suddenly remembered I hadn't made their card.
So I went with the theme colour of navy blue, with a touch of pink.
I had to make a box for it too.

A terrible picture as the days have been so dark all day.

On the morning of the Wedding, just Lorraine and myself went to
the Manor House Hotel, where the wedding was being held.

We had a nice relaxing time together and I did her make up
and hair for her.
I had made her posy for her a couple of days before.
I had also made her a garter and finished it the day before!

I also managed to fit in cutting and colouring
her hair and mine. Oh! Gave her Dad's hair a trim too!!

She looked lovely.

This is one of her Grandchildren and her bridesmaid.
She looked so pretty.

Here are the 2 bridesmaids and the ring bearer!!

The happy couple!
The picture is not very good, as the big windows behind were
far too bright.

We had a lovely time and the food was very good too.

It all went of very smoothly.

Don't know what to do with myself now!!

I do really!! Start making things for the
Craft Fayres!!

Thank you for visiting my blog and hope you
will drop in again.

Big hugs,
Carol

Robin Redbreast!!

I bought a few LOTV new Christmas stamps but
only have had the time to use one!
The three days of Craft Fayres I have done over the last week
have been madness!!!

I have to now make more stock for the next
Fayres, on 21st and 22nd of this month.
They are at Cherry Lane Garden Centre in Fritton, Norfolk.
Fortunatley, just a 10 minute drive from home.

So back to my card!
This was my favourite stamp and just had to
make time to use it!!

I coloured it with my Distress Inks.
I love Robins and he is so super cute!!

Well, thanks for finding the time to pop in and for
leaving a lovely message!! I hope!!

Big hugs,
Carol

A New Home

Will it ever rain again here in Suffolk?!!!

I know that this county is supposed
to be the driest in the UK but didn't
think I would ever be asking for it to rain!!
I don't know any rain dances to do but
probably would be laughed at if I did!!Lol!

We haven't had actual rain for ages now.
Hubby came into my craft room this afternoon and said
'Don't get too excited but it's raining!'
I looked out the window and it was!!
It lasted no longer than 2 minutes and that was our rain!!

Our garden is getting desperate again, so
if we don't get any tomorrow, it's out with the hose again!!

I really enjoyed colouring this LOTV new Digi.
I used my Distress Inks to colour with.
The sentiment is also a LOTV stamp.

It's so cute and love the detail.

Just a quick post as bed is calling.
I am trying to get in bed at a sensible time!
Well at least before 1am, that's early for me!

So thanks for popping in and leaving me you
lovely messages.

Big hugs
Carol

Make a wish

Firstly, I must thank all of you, for the lovely
messages that you left me, here and on FB, regarding
the loss of my lovely friend Alison.
It still feels surreal and I am waiting for her to call me!

I am trying to make some small things for my next
Craft Fayre, which is on Saturday 24th June.
It's a combination of Farmers Market and Village Fayre
at Flegg High School at Martham.

This card is using one of Lili of the Valley's new
release stamps.
She is called 'I Believe in Fairies'

I do, as I have them in my Craft Room.
I put something down and they either move it away
from where I put it, or they make it disappear!!

I coloured her with Distress Inks.

A touch of Stickles of course!

This flower is a plant called Cistus, in my garden.
One of my favourite plants but never had such a big flowers.
They look like screwed up tissue.

We have friends coming up at the weekend.
The weather is supposed to be dry and sunny.

I could just do with a bit less wind!!....Not me!!
The wind has been rather strong and damaged
some of my plants.

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind messages you
leave me.
You are all so kind.

Big hugs,
Carol

Wedding Belles

My Mojo left me for the month of May!!
Don't know where it went but I do know why!

I will update you soon but for now,
I love the new Lili of the Valley stamps and just bought a few.
For now I might add!!

This is my new wedding favourite stamp.
Simple title....The Bridesmaids

I took some photos of my card on Monday, but they
looked blue so I didn't want to post them.
On Tuesday I took it in it's box I had made, to the Craft Fayre
I was doing that day.
I quickly took a picture of it as I wanted it on my table.

Well it was there for about 10 minutes and then it was sold!!

It's on a 7" x 7" card and stamped on The Langton watercolour card.
I used Distress Inks to colour them with.
Stickles was added onto ribbons and head dresses.

I am so hoping that mojo will come back soon, as I have
loads of stock to make, for another Fayre in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for visiting my little blog and I do so love
the lovely messages you leave me.
It's like getting a hug from my blogging friends.

Big hugs,
Carol
