Watercolour Again

Another quick card!!
Watercolour card and painted on the card base.

A few sequins, bought in Spain about 20 years ago!!
The sentiment is die cut with shinny card,
bought in Hobbycraft.

Still having Hospital appointments for my Hubby.
An MRI tomorrow. We hope the results are good
and he can have the catheter removed.

Another 2 appointments next week, 2 days running,
with different departments.
It is just a good thing that I can drive. Would of cost
silly money with taxis!!

Fingers crossed that he doesn't have to anymore surgery.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post.
They always give me an uplift.

Big hugs,

Spring has Sprung

The gardens look so pretty with the lovely daffs
and all the variety of other spring flowers.

Thank you for all your lovely, kind messages on my last post.
They  really gave us a lift.

We had to go to the Hospital on Tuesday, for an
appointment  for Rick  to see the Urology consultant.
It came out, that these problems he is having,
are something to do with him being pushed a bit, to
have an injection in his spine for the operation and
not full Anaesthetic.
He now has to keep the catheter in place, until he has
had the results of blood tests on 22nd of this month!!

So I painted this card with watercolour paints, using
my palette from Hobbycraft.
A great stress relief action!!

Thank you again for your lovely messages.
I am trying to catch up on so many jobs I have to do
and to getting back to your blogs!!

Have a lovely weekend.
Big hugs,
Carol

Water colour Card

Sorry I haven't been around but life has just got in the way!!

I have been taking my husband to the Hospital and to
the Doctors Surgery, for tests and treatment,
since his knee operation.
At least a couple of times a week!

The knee op is fine, it's everything else that is not good.

He now has Kidneys not working properly. His Prostrate
is now enlarged and his water works not working well.
So now has a catheter fitted. Took it off after just over a week.
Then, after 2 days without it, had to have it reinstated!!

We are now waiting to hear from the Urology department,
to see what they are going to do to put it right!!!

He was quite well before he went into the Hospital!!

This card has just been painted on watercolour card.
I used my wastercolour palette I bought in Hobbycraft.

On top of husband's problems, I have had health problems too!
I can't be left out!!
I had a bad fall in my garden. I landed on my backside onto
large beach stones and a bucket and my back hit the bird table.
I also had pulled something in my arm too.
It happened 2 weeks ago but had to speak to my surgery today.
I thought it would have improved a bit by now, but I still find
it very painful to even sit down. I now have medication for the pain.
I had a phone call from the surgery and they have booked me
an appointment with a Physio on Wednesday.

Ohh, the joys of getting old!!!

So I hope this week, I will to get onto your blogs.

Thanks for popping in my blog and hope I
haven't bored you all!!!

Big hugs,
Carol

From Door To House!!

Phew!! I finally finished this project!!
All I wanted to do, was to make a scene for a Fairy
I made  with my air dry clay.
She had been sitting on a shelf above my desk, for a few
years and I also wanted to give her some hair and clothes!!

I did a crackle effect on the door and the frame.
I Die cut some Ivy and a climbing floral item
to decorate the bare frame.

The Bunnies are wood from my stash and I just painted them.
The Toadstools and the snail, I made using
some white air dry clay, then painted them with acrylic paint.

She is made with my clay and her clothes are all
made with ribbons from my stash.
She is sitting on a piece of wood, like a piece
of a tree trunk. Bought from Hobbycraft.

She does have pink wings. I cut them from beautiful
Organza fabric and added some Stickles to it.
For her hair, I used some of my Felting wool.
I made a plait, which goes right around her head too.

I made a box to add onto the back of the Fairy door.
Was very fiddley because of the shape of the frame.
I had done it before but couldn't remember exactly
how I did do it!!   (Old age!!)

I lined it with a piece of beautiful rose pink Foil Card
from Hobbycraft. Can't see it properly because of the
shadow on it.
The black Fairy flying in, is a die cut one using glittered
card, again from Hobbycraft.
The Fairy sitting at her mirror, is an old stamp from
Lily of The Valley. Coloured with Copics pens.
Again, the pink and purple doesn't  look as bright as it is.

I know it took a long time to do. But I thought that a little girl
could open the door and see something. So they
wouldn't be disappointed, just seeing a hole!!
I know I would be!!! Lol!!!

So this is why I haven't posted for ages, as I also had
Easter cards to make for the Care Home I support.
Finished them today.

Thank you for taking the time  to pop into
my blog. As you know, we  all do love to get  some
messages from our blogging friends.

Stay safe still.
Big hugs
Carol

Sitting in the Window!!

A very quick post tonight.

Another Needle Felting project.
Really enjoyed doing this one and stretched my brain, a lot!!

This is my first kitty and took a bit of time, to work
out how much body to do!
I just took out the glass from this Deep Box Frame,
6 inch square, from Hobbycraft.
Just made enough body so she could sit on the frame.
Flowers from Hobbycraft and leaves I made with air dry clay.

Thank you for popping in and hope you have a good
weekend. Thanks for the lovely messages you leave me.
Much appreciated and will visit you too.
Hubby's Birthday on Sunday. Not doing anything special.
Stay safe.
Big hugs,
Carol

It's A Goal!!!

It's a Goal, thanks to LOTV.
I've had these stamps for ages and not used
them for a while.
I stamped all three of them twice, onto Watercolour card and
painted them with watercolour paints from Hobbycraft.

The balls and the word 'goal', I fussy cut from one set,
and using foam pads on the balls, I attached them to the
base ones. The word 'Goal' I cut out and using PinFlair
gel glue, I stuck the word onto the base.
When they were in place on the card front,
I then put Glossy Accents on the balls and the word.

Thank you for lovely messages on my last post.
My sister is now back home but very tired.
Her dog and husband were both so happy to have her home.

I do love reading your messages and they really helped
me get through the last few weeks. You ae all so kind.
So thanks again and I will visit your posts and leave a message too.
 Big hugs and stay safe,

It's Christmas!! Well Nearly!!

I have just finished making my Christmas cards.
Along with 3 Birthdays cards.
I won't post the Christmas ones until the first
 week in December.

A word of warning!!
Don't post anything 1st class, expecting it to arrive
the following day. I posted a small box to my sister,.
and I also asked it to be signed for at the other end..
I posted it on Monday and it finally arrived on Friday!!

I was annoyed and concerned, that it had been lost,
So I had not only paid a lot more for the service that
wasn't working, I don't think I should have even been
offered it!!

I love this little LOTV snowman and friends stamp. It comes out every year and coloured with Copics.
The trees were cut from
Glitter card from Hobbycraft, I bought the Merry Christmas die on line.

I think I am going to spend some lockdown hours, on my family scrapbook.
I thought, for a bit of fun, I will make a small scrapbook,
with the photos of my different hairstyles I have had, from a child to now!!
As I have been a hairdresser for 58 years
(and still cut my own hair and my husbands,) I have
had some weird and hilarious styles through
the 60's to the 90's!!

I have quite a lot of my items, I usually take to the Craft Fairs to sell, are now on Facebook in
Marketplace and 3 other groups.
I am just trying to get some money for the Charity Care
Homes I fund raise for.

Thank you for the lovely messages you left on my last post.
They were all read and appreciated.
Stay safe in this awful time we find ourselves in.
Big hugs,
Carol

Blue and White

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.

This is one of my quick cards and using my favourite colours.

I made the Poinsettia with a card pack I bought in Hobbycraft.
It's got a glitter effect and die cuts beautifully.
I must admit I bought a pack of all the colours I liked!!
Well you just have too!!

I have also been putting some more of my makes
onto the Marketplace on Facebook.
They are also on 3 other groups sites.
I am trying to get some money for the 2 Charity
Care Homes I support. I do so miss the Craft Fairs.

I am on a roll of getting all my Christmas cards made.
Just over 40 of them and 4 birthday cards too.

I hope to get them finished in a couple of days.
Stay safe and well.

Big hugs,
Carol

Home Sweet Home!!

Another heart and my favourite colour!!

A simple Clay Rose with Clay leaves I made.
Also a few small flowers from Hobbycraft.

The background was of course my crackle paint job!

The sentiment is a die, multi cut to make it a bit stronger.
Along with wooden bits from my stash.
I am finding things that I have had for years and forgotten I had them!!

Hope you are all home, safe from this awful weather.
Plenty of big trees down on the local news.
At least I don't have to water the garden!!

We are back to having central heating on!!
Crazy, when a few days ago we were baking in the sun!!

Stay safe and don't go buying hundreds of Loo Rolls!!!!
Didn't get that last time, so why them again?!!!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog
and leaving your lovely comments.

Have a lovely weekend and stay safe.

Big hugs,
Carol

The Blues !!

I am pleased to say that my mojo has come back and
hope that it is here to stay!! Yipeeeeee!!

All I needed was a reason/purpose to make things.
Having got the Craft Market bookings, was all I needed.

If they all will be still happening, nobody knows.
However, all the time I think they will, is mentally
important to me.

So here is another MDF heart, made from my heart!!
(Cheesy I know)!!

I had a lovely walk with a friend last Tuesday, through the
local Marshes.
We walked for just over 4 miles, with a coffee and a Sandwich
half way round! The weather was perfect and just warm enough
to enjoy it and not many people on the same route.

It's a shame that we cannot have the freedom, we have been
given the last few weeks.

It has been spoilt, by the people not conforming to the
safety measures that were important to us all.

I saw 3 girls being interviewed on the TV, at a party.
They were asked why they were not conforming
to the numbers that were allowed at a gathering.

Their reply really shocked me, which was
'We can't be bothered with all that. We want to have fun
and enjoy ourselves!!!'

I still cannot believe, that they have no cares for
their friends and families, getting ill and dying.

Well I have had my rant!! What do you think?

Enjoy the sun and stay safe.

Big hugs,
Carol

A Red Heart!!

Trying to get some different items made for the Craft Market next month.

I have used a Lili Of the Valley paper as the background.
The flowers are from Hobbycraft .

A simple make, just added a line of Gold Embossing
powder to the edge of the heart, to finish it off.

Also added the sentiment, using an old stamp and
Gold Embossing powder.

I just wish I had made things in all the spare time I had!!

Never mind, I didn't know there would be the chance
of selling any of my items!!

So looking forward to the first one!!

Thanks for your lovely comments on my last post.

Big hugs,
Carol

Clay Flowers Frame

Thank you all for the lovely messages on my last post.
Also to my 2 new visitors, I hope you liked my blog.

I love making flowers with my Air Dry Clay and Roses
are a regular make. So for a change, I thought I would
try to make a Calla Lily and a Camellia.
I do have some in my garden, so I went and had look
at them to make sure I could get the detail right. Ish!!

The frame was an old one that I recycled, painting it
with some Gesso first. I then topped it with some
Duck Egg Blue Emulsion paint.
I dried the paint with my heat gun.
I then dry bushed some craft glue over the whole frame.
I then dried to glue off a bit with my gun.

I then dry brushed white Emulsion over the whole frame,
covering the glue.
I then dried the whole frame with my heat gun, which
then created the paint on the top to crackle.

Below is the top corner with 2 clay flowers and the
white flowers are from Hobbycraft.

The pretty paper in the frame is from my stash.
So the flowers below are a Rose, Calla Lily and
a Camelia.

I don't use Moulds for making most of my flowers.
I prefer to just make them in my hands.
With petals it works, as they mostly have veins
on them, which they can pick up from your hands.

So I have made a gift box to put this in and it will
go up for sale soon!!

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine and keeping safe.
I can't remember when we last saw any rain!!
Thank goodness we have 2 big water butts for my new plants.

Thank you for taking time out to visit my blog
and I love reading your lovely messages.

Big hugs,
Carol

Pooh Bear Book

Sorry I haven't been around lately but life has
been a bit tough.
I am now finding it difficult to make things,
when I am not sure if we will do any Craft Fairs
before Christmas.

I have had this fabric for a while now.
I also have the same images, on a pale blue fabric,
so I made a book for a new baby boy too.

I put some wadding between a piece of card and
the fabric. Then stretched the fabric and stuck it
onto the piece of card.
Then added a some ribbon and a metal butterfly.
Then glued it to the front of the book.

The teddy bear stamp, is one of my all time favourite bears!!
He is quite big and is still on his wooden block!!

I stamped him onto Langton smooth watercolour card.
I painted him with Distress Inks.

Added some Glossy Accents onto his eyes and nose.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.
I have a few things in draft and will try to post them.

Stay safe and keep well.
Big hugs,
Carol
