It's Christmas!!!

I finely finished making my family and friends cards,
all 51 of them, yesterday. I posted half of them on
Wednesday, until I ran out of stamps.

This is one of them, using the stamps (not postage ones!!)
I had with a magazine, that I have a subscription with.

I didn't photo the other cards, as I was just trying to get them done.
My craft room looked like a bomb site and now it's back to
my calming little haven.
Got the Christmas tree up but only the lights on, so tomorrow
I will dress it.

Hope you are all having, or had your booster jab.
Stay safe and keep well.

Thank you all for your lovely messages on my last post.
I love to read them and then I can pop in your posts too.

Big hugs,
Carol

Favourite Christmas Quickies!!

I love blue and white cards for Christmas.
The card background is actually white!!
Why do camera's change colours?!!!

Spot the difference!!!
I love making pretty, yet simple cards.

The Deer are from a die set I bought last Christmas.
I think it was on Amazon.
The trees are a very old stamp and I used
Broken China Distress Ink.

I have posted all my cards and even got my tree and
decs all done!! It certainly gives me a lift.

I really can't wait for the end of this year.
I have had so many sad happenings within my family
and friends. It's just one thing after another.

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post
and they are all read and appreciated.

Big hugs.

A Red & White Christmas.

Thank you for popping into my blog.
Sorry I haven't been around every day but been a bit tied up.

This is a quick post with one of my cards ready to be posted.
I will be doing that tomorrow.

The Poinsettia. is die cut with a set of dies I have had for years,
and I used some red glitter card from Hobbycraft.
The sentiment was also die cut with the red glitter card,
and dropped shadow onto a piece of white pearl card.

I used a snowflake die to cut the aperture.
The backing paper is just from my stash.

Well it's 1. am and I want an early night for a change.

Hope you are all keeping safe and well and looking
forward to Wednesday here, as we will be able to go out again!!

Thanks for popping in and you know I treasure you comments.

Big hugs,
Carol

Blue and White

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.

This is one of my quick cards and using my favourite colours.

I made the Poinsettia with a card pack I bought in Hobbycraft.
It's got a glitter effect and die cuts beautifully.
I must admit I bought a pack of all the colours I liked!!
Well you just have too!!

I have also been putting some more of my makes
onto the Marketplace on Facebook.
They are also on 3 other groups sites.
I am trying to get some money for the 2 Charity
Care Homes I support. I do so miss the Craft Fairs.

I am on a roll of getting all my Christmas cards made.
Just over 40 of them and 4 birthday cards too.

I hope to get them finished in a couple of days.
Stay safe and well.

Big hugs,
Carol

Fold Back

I have finally got to posting on here again!!
I was in 2 minds to close my blog down completely.

I think this lockdown has effected me more than I thought.
I don't feel safe now if I go out but I really want to get out!!

I am sure I am not alone feeling like this.
I also feel I am not making the most of all this
spare time I now have.

Never mind, at least we are keeping well and
hope you all are too.

Any way, here is a fold back card I made a few weeks ago
for my stock box. I have made quite a few and
I am now going to try and make some Christmas cards.

The centre flower I made from paper and a petal die.

Husband just back from doing the food shop and I
have washed every item with an Anti-bacterial spray.
Can't wait for that job to come to an end!!

I have a few items in 'Draft' but wasn't very happy with
some of them. So they will get lost!!

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.
I must try harder to get back to commenting too!!

Keep safe and
big hugs,
Carol

Lily and more!!

A lovely Lily Stamp by Sheena Douglas.
I picked it up, unused, at a Cancer Charity Shop, along
with other stamps, back end of last year.

It just got used for the first time, for this CAS card.

It will be great to stamp the petals twice and 3D them.

Stamped onto Watercolour card and painted with
Distress Inks.
A very simple CAS card and quick to make.

I have spent quite a lot of time doing some
major jobs in the garden! Including sawing down
some old shrubs I didn't like and I will replace them with
ones that I like more!
I did keep 2 Honeysuckle climbers I liked and a climbing Rose.
All growing in the same area, up a wall at the end of the garden.

I now have a bit more sawing to do and then decide what plants
I want to make the bed with. I have quite a lot of plants in tubs,
some that will be suitable for the shady area.

Well sitting here, on my computer won't get it done!!

Not a cloud in the sky and already 25 degrees!!
Fortunately, the area I will be working in, is in the
shade for the morning. It gets full sun in early afternoon,
So better get out there quickly!!

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last post.
Especially the ones who joined in my paper hoarding!!

I will get around to your posts this week.

Stay safe!
Keep well!
Big hugs,
Carol

Smile!!!

Morning all!!
Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.

With the sadness of the last few weeks, within my circle
of friends and family, your messages were kind and uplifting.

I just thank goodness for having the best hobby you can have!!
You can make things, that make you smile and not all Sympathy cards.

This project made me smile for the days it took to make!!

What isn't visible, is that her face and ears are 3D.
I stamped and coloured her head twice.
The flowers and leaves are all die cuts.

Now tell me, she certainly makes you smile!!!
Or, Are You Having A Giraffe!!!Lol!!

Sorry, just had to add that quip!!

To colour her and the flowers, I used a palette of water colours,
that I bought in Hobbycraft.
They were half price, so I had to have them!! (Rude not to!!)

I used Langton Smooth Water Colour pad, that I
also bought in Hobbycraft. I then mounted it onto a canvas.
Guess where I bought the canvas?!!!!

I edged the card with TH Distress Oxide, Faded Jeans.

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine. It certainly lifts you
mentally and physically, pottering in the garden.

Stay home and keep safe.

Big hugs,
Carol

It's A Bag

Hi, all my lovely followers and thank you for the lovely
messages on my last posting. You are all so kind.

This one will be short and no rambling, to bore you.....to tears😂

This is the last bag I have to do, as Hobbycraft are no longer
selling them.
I still have this one but it is sold.

The background card is so beautiful and looks much nicer in real life.
It may show up better if you click on it to make it bigger.
It is similar on the other side too.

Well thats it from me. I am struggling with my Mojo.
Okay some days and other days not interested.
We are not used to have to look at the same 4 walls, 24/7!!
I always wished I could have one day to be bored!!
Never again!! Just not used to all this free time!!

Stay safe in your home,
big hugs,
Carol

Cheers At Winter Wonderland

Welcome to our May Challenge at

I chose a 5" x 7" card for this brilliant image,
donated by our generous Sponsor,
Bugaboo Stamps

She is
JJXmas Cheer and available HERE

I love this fun image and she was so easy to colour.
I used my Copics to colour her with.
I think I will make a couple more cards for members
of my family!!

So pop over to the Winter Wonderland blog
and add your cards, to be in with a chance
of winning a generous prize.
Christmas cards only please.

Please read the rules carefully on the challenge page.

Good luck and thank you for visiting my blog.

A Touch Of Gold

Just a quick simple card.

As always it looks better in RL.
The bauble was a stamp I picked up at Thetford Craft Show.
I stamped the bauble twice and 3D it and
coloured it with Copics.

It's a shame that pictures don't look anything like they
do in real life.
I don't know if it's the camera, daylight or position
of where you take the photos.

Never mind and I won't moan anymore!!Lol!!

Thanks for stopping by and I do enjoy reading your comments.

Big hugs

A Christmas Sunset

Thanks for popping in.
I have just made this very quick card and thought
I would post it before going to my bed!

It only took 3 dies to make it. With a bit
of scrap card, coloured with Distress Inks,
for the sunset.

I did add the faux stitching with a white Sakura pen.

I have been doing loads more posts and
they are in 'Draft' at the moment.

I did say a quick one, so off to bed!

Thanks for your lovely messages on my last post
of my Snow People.
There just might be another one of them to post!!

Big hugs,
Carol

Another One Took Flightt!!

I know a bit of a shock!!
Another posting in 2 weeks!!

I have plenty in 'Draft' and still not posted.

Another one that I sold at the last Craft Fayre.
It's first outing and it went in the afternoon.

It was quite a big heart and I used mainly dies.
I did create the sky and the rainbow with inks though!

I cut the castle 3 times and made it a
bit more 3D. Also did the same with the clouds.

The unicorn was backed with glitter card
and then 3D over the already 3D clouds.

I must admit, I don't really get the 'Unicorn' thing!!
I love horses but at least when the Unicorn thing
cools down, I can cut the horn off and
I then still have a pretty horse die to use.

So there we are, another posting.

Thanks for stopping by. I loved reading
the messages you have left me on my posts.
So a big 'Thank You' to you all.

Big hugs,
Carol

Fold Back

Morning,
Two posts in one week!!!

The trio frames hanger in my last post,
was the first item I sold at the Craft Fayre!!
I hadn't even hung it on my stand and
one of the stall holders came to say 'hello',
saw it and said I want that and she did!!

I just found this one in Draft!!
Just a 'stock' card.

Had a play around with dies, gems, embossing folders
and a bit of DI.

Nice to get a bit of playtime!!

I have a few other things, some made
and some still in my head!!

I may even have some time to do a page or 2,
for my scrapbook.
I haven't done a single page this year!!

As it is a 'family' scrapbook, each page
has a number of photos to tell the story.
It's a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.
Especially finding the right words
to put down on paper.

It will be done!

Thanks for visiting and thank you
for your lovely messages on my last post.

Hugs,
Carol

One Stamp

Morning all,
I thought it was about time I posted a card or two that
I have been making and not a Christmas one!!

This is an old favourite stamp from Hobby Art.
Love their stamps and Jenny, the owner,
used to have a table at the Craft Barn weekend
Extravaganza events.

I was demoing at the stall next to her on one of the days.
She is great fun too!!
You can still buy this stamp and is so easy to colour.

I have used Copics this time.

This first one I think has a vintage feel.

This next one is a bit more modern.

We are waiting for a guy to come and finally
connect and supply our Smart Meter reader, up to EDF.

The meters were changed on the 10th November 2017!!
They were unable to connect them on the fitting day,
as they couldn't get a signal on their Mobile phone!!

A few months later, they managed to connect the Electricity,
remotely from their base but cannot do that with the Gas.

We did have 2 other appointments made to do this and
then cancelled at the last minute.

We are just hoping that they turn up today,
just over 7 months later!!!!!!

Update!! They came and we now have it working!!

So there we are, 2 non-Christmas cards!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit.
Would love a message so I know you have been.
They are always treasured.

Big hugs,

Carol,

Cats and Dogs!

I was asked at the last Craft Fair I did, for cards
with cats and dogs on.
I thought I had plenty but I only had one dog one!

So I quickly made these.
They are mostly using Joanna Sheen  stamps I
have had for many years.

You can't see my favourite cat one very well.
It's the bottom left.
They are adorable and I don't have any idea
whose stamp it is. In fact I had totally
forgotten I had it!!

Well that's a quick post.
I can now post pictures from my main computer onto
my blog. For months, I could only do it on my laptop.
I only found out on Saturday, so I have no idea when
blogger sorted out the fault.

Thanks for taking time to pop into my blog
and for leaving me a lovely message.
They make me smile!

Big hugs,
Carol
