Winter Wonderland Challenge

Hi everybody,
we have a new challenge starting today,

An easy theme:
Anything Christmas Goes

We have a lovely Sponsor, LeAnn's World 101
for this challenge, who kindly gave us this image to use.

I coloured her with Copics Pens and Red Stickles.
The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.

The winner will have 2 free Digis from
LeAnn's World.

So now you can pop over to LeAnn's shop and
see what you can have if you are the winner.

You have 2 weeks to upload your cards to
the Winter Wonderland blog.
So good luck.

Big hugs,
Carol

Tag You're It Challenge!

A new challenge at Winter Wonderland starts today.

The theme chosen by our lovely host Helen, is
Tag You're It!!

This means that you can create a tag and as I have
as a sentiment and put it on a card.
Or just create a stand alone tag,
or even a tag as a topper on a card.
As long as it's a Christmas card only, to go in the draw.

I have used a free gift stamp and die set,
from Simply Cards and Papercraft.

It's actually a Hunkydory set.

One of the free dies was a tag! The sentiment was with it too.
I used an old tag die I have and cut that in gold Mirri,
just to make the tag more prominent.

I coloured the image with Derwent Inktense
Water Colour Pencils on Water Colour 300gsm card.
I added Stickles on the Berries, baubles and ribbon.
Sorry the photo doesn't show any of it!!

Our Sponsor for this 2 week challenge is,
and for the winner, they are giving you a £10 voucher!!
You will spend it very easily in their fab shop!

So get making your Christmas card to enter
our challenge. You can make up to 3 entries
and they must have a 'Tag' somewhere on them.

The Challenge ends on Thursday 30th November
at 5.30 pm.

I am looking forward to seeing your gorgeous cards.
We will visit your blogs and leave you a message.
so you know we have been.

Big hugs,
Carol

Flower Box

Firstly I must welcome my new followers Kelly and Ann.
I hope you enjoy what you see.

Just a quick post, as a friend from West Sussex is
on her way up to us in Suffolk. She is coming to get
her hair cut and coloured and to see us of course.
She will be staying a few days, so will not be around on
here, other than late at night.

This is a box I made for my Craft Faryes stock.
All bought flowers from Hobbycraft and the
ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.
The butterfly was a free Die on a magazine.

The background is done with Distress Inks.

Have a lovely week.
Hugs,
Carol

There is not time to stamp and hand colour all of  them.
So this is a precoloured topper from a magazine.

This is my DT card, for the last but one

I have used the brilliant

This one is in the Christmas Doodle range.
I can't tell you how many cards I have made using the ribbons.

Saves stamping and die cutting sentiments.
Also looks lovely too.

to spend in the  Crafty Ribbons Shop!!

Make sure you have plenty of time when you visit the shop!!

beautiful ribbons and lace there for you to enjoy.

Christmas Makes

The week before last I did 3 Craft Fairs.
I sold so much, that I have hardly been out of my craft room since!!
I have also got a few orders for large projects to do.

Here are just a few 'Smalls' for my Christmas Craft Fairs.

On all of the boxes I have used the gorgeous text ribbons

On this little one, I also used their 'Holly Ribbon'.

There is a link to Crafty Ribbons HERE and
at the top and the bottom of this post.

The next 4 boxes I made from scratch and also added a gift in each.
I sold 3 of the boxes below!

I had some wooden coasters I made with my Brother-in-law.
So just to use them up, I painted a winter scene and added  a
clay snowman I made and die cut trees.

I used the Crafty Ribbon around the edge and as the hanger.

I hope this gives you some ideas to use text ribbon.

They also have some amazing and beautiful ribbons.
All at very reasonable prices. Some are exclusive, so will
make your projects very different.
Check them out HERE.

You can also win some on their challenge blog.
HERE is the link to the blog.

Don't forget, you have to be in it to win it!!

I will post a couple of bigger makes soon.
Thanks for stopping by and I love
reading your messages.

We have returned from our summer break at Crafty Ribbons.
Not that I have been on a holiday!
If you have been away, I hope you had a great time.

We are starting with an 'Anything Goes' theme
for this challenge.

So just for a change from cards, I decided
to do a decorated MDF heart as my DT project.

The fab ribbon I used is

Take it from me, it is absolutely beautiful.

Winter Wonderland Challenge

An exciting day for us today, as my daughter
and grandchildren are coming up to stay for the weekend.
It is their first visit to our new home in Suffolk.
So I won't be around over the weekend
but will catch up after.
Hubby's birthday on Bank Holiday Monday too.

First off I must welcome my new follower Lorraine.
Thank you for taking time to follow me and hope you pop in again.

My adorable snowman is called Snowman Song.
He is from one of our amazing sponsors, Crafty Sentiments.

I love snowmen but am very fussy with their faces!
Sad I know but I don't like ugly ones.
This one has a lovely cheerful smile and is easy to colour.

Our theme for this weeks challenge at
Winter Wonderland is a choice of two.

Firstly the one I have done is
White with One Other Colour
Or
A Little Bird Told Me.

In fact this image covers both!!
The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.
There are various note sizes,
so if you click on their name,
it will take you to the page with all the sizes.

We have 2 sponsors this week.

and their fab prize is a £10 voucher to use in their online store

Also, as mentioned above, Crafty Sentiments.
They are giving the winner 3 Free Digis.

Check out the Winter Wonderland blog here, for more
inspiration from my fab Teamies.

Also you can pop in on our sponsors,
So you can see what you would like as your prize!!

Good luck to you all and thanks for dropping by.
Don't forget to leave me a message so I can pop over
to your blog too and leave you a message.

Big hugs,

Carolxxxx

August Birthdays

We have lots of birthdays this month and these 2 cards were both on
  the 20th, yesterday.

The first one is for my lovely friend Sue,
who I sadly left behind in West Sussex. Miss You loads!!
She just adores Forever Friends Bears.
I did 3D him and even added another one inside!!

This next one was for my friend Jan.
She moved up here to Suffolk, 11 years ago.
So we are really enjoying being so close again.
The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons access site here
I do love this ribbon as it does 2 jobs, sentiment
and embellishment.

We finally got our swing bench up.

This is one of my 5 hanging baskets. They have all done well
considering I was late doing them.

Our neighbour took us on a walk to the beach near us.
We went the long but more scenic route but was well worth it.
This was one stop and had to take a couple of pics of the view.
We didn't expect this.

We carried on through the woods and ended
up nearer the sandy beach.
We then went the quicker route home, which only took 15 minutes!

I think this is going to be another regular walk for us.
We are so lucky to live here.

I'm late again!!
It's 1.10am and I have to be up at 6.30am,
as we are doing a Craft Fair. I was going to say tomorrow
but it is today. So off to my bed!

Thanks for popping in and to those of you that leave me a message,
an extra big thank you!!

Hugs,

Carol xxxx

Boxed!

Just a quick post today.
A little wooden box I made...well not the box itself,
just decorated it!!

My fave crackle effect on the top.
Added a few flowers from Hobbycraft and of course,
a Marianne designs butterfly die.

The wooden heart was from my stash, as is the paper.

The beautiful lace is from Crafty Ribbons.
The quality of this lace is far better than most I have seen.
You really have to see and handle it.

The paper I used for the inside is a Kirsty Allsop paper pad.

There a lot of new ribbons over at the Crafty Ribbons store
and all at very good prices.
As a ribbon addict myself, I think I know my ribbons.
They certainly come into the 'Stroke, Look At' and
put back in the box category!!
It really hurt me to cut into this lace! Lol!!

Can't believe it but my die cutting machine has broken.
A Couture Creations A4 folder got stuck in the machine.
For some reason they have the join on the sides,
which makes them wider than the plates.
If you don't get them in perfectly, they get stuck which mine did.
Just had to order a new machine!!
Not a happy bunny!!

Thanks for popping in and leaving me your lovely messages.
Will visit you back too.
Hugs,

Carol xxxx

New Gnome!!

Just a very quick post but just had to post this fun, New Home card!

Crafty Ribbons have just launched these new fun ribbons.
I have just used 2 of them.
First is The Garden Gnomes Ribbon and they are along
the bottom of the card.
I also cut one and put him in the window.

The other ribbon is The Bees.

I just cut off 2 and stuck them on my toadstool.
I just sketched the toadstool onto a 6" x 6" card and cut around it.
Then paper pieced onto it.

There are lots more in the range so pop over here
and see the whole range and have fun using them.

Thanks for looking and love your messages.
Hugs,
Carolxxxx
