A Quicky CAS

Right!! Who pinched my Mojo?!!!!

This card took a long time to make!
It took all of 20 minutes to put together.
That was mainly cutting all the pieces
of the flower and the butterfly.

It took days to decide what I was going to do!!
I think it was the distress of no Easter Egg!!

The background was a die, which cut out the card blank
and I then backed it with a piece of purple Mirri.

Six pieces of Candy and a crystal in the centre of the flower.

That's it done!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend.

Thank you for all your lovely messages on my last post.
It lifted the atmosphere we are living in at the moment.

Big hugs,
Carol

Phew!!!

It seems ages since I posted on here!!

I suddenly realised, that as from next weekend, I have
17 Craft Fayres to do and the last one is December 3rd!!!

So I have been busy making stock.
Also making Christmas cards and decorations.

The 2 cards here are very quick and easy cards to make.

There are some lovely detailed dies around at the moment.
I do like these edge dies.

Sorry if I miss the odd post of yours but I will get to
you asap. I do enjoy looking at your makes.

Thanks for taking the time to pop into my little blog.
Especially if you leave me a message, so
I know you have been.

Big hugs,

Birthday Poppy

Just a quick post tonight.

I cannot understand why I have so many summer flowers,
still giving a colourful display!!  Crazy!!
Even my Acer has only just started to drop a few leaves.

This card was for a friend who is in her 90s.

She loved it and I enjoyed making it.

I have my friend, who is the Daughter-in-law of the lady
who this card was for, is coming up to stay with us
for a couple of days.
She is coming to get her highlights and haircut done!
It will be great to see her and we will have a girly day out,
on Thursday.

Thanks for popping in and thank you for leaving me such
lovely messages.
Hope you are enjoying this mild weather too.

Hugs,
Carol

I'm back!!

Hi to all my lovely followers and a Happy New Year to you all.

I am sorry I haven't been around for a few days but
I have been rather busy. I had a few orders for
big items, that take rather a lot of time to put together.
I just have 2 left to finish.

I am also helping my friend with her wedding arrangements.
I made her invitations and now I am doing
the flower arrangements for all the tables.

I managed to have a little play and made this card.
A very quick one for stock.

Sorry it's a bit dark but was a very grey day when I took it.
My photo programme didn't lighten it up as much as I thought it would.

Thank you for visiting and leaving your lovely messages.

If it as cold where you are as it is here, 3 degrees today!!
Unlike Sydney yesterday, 47 degrees!!

Don't miss out on HALF PRICE
bargains at

Big hugs,

Make a wish

Firstly, I must thank all of you, for the lovely
messages that you left me, here and on FB, regarding
the loss of my lovely friend Alison.
It still feels surreal and I am waiting for her to call me!

I am trying to make some small things for my next
Craft Fayre, which is on Saturday 24th June.
It's a combination of Farmers Market and Village Fayre
at Flegg High School at Martham.

This card is using one of Lili of the Valley's new
release stamps.
She is called 'I Believe in Fairies'

I do, as I have them in my Craft Room.
I put something down and they either move it away
from where I put it, or they make it disappear!!

I coloured her with Distress Inks.

A touch of Stickles of course!

This flower is a plant called Cistus, in my garden.
One of my favourite plants but never had such a big flowers.
They look like screwed up tissue.

We have friends coming up at the weekend.
The weather is supposed to be dry and sunny.

I could just do with a bit less wind!!....Not me!!
The wind has been rather strong and damaged
some of my plants.

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind messages you
leave me.
You are all so kind.

Big hugs,
Carol

Blue Lady

Just found this in 'Draft' and thought I should perhaps
clear some of the 31 'Drafts' I have!!

I just made this for my stock, as it is ideal for the residential
home I supply cards for.
It is one of the charity care homes I support.

They were so pleased with the money I passed them
just before Christmas.
I was even asked if I was sure!!

It is such a lovely, friendly home. The staff are amazing.
A few weeks ago they were in the local paper,
as they had been awarded
recognition for the quality of care the staff give the residents.

I hope that this year I can get even more for them!

Hope you all had a great start to 2017.

Thanks for popping in and leaving you lovely messages.
They are greatly appreciated.

Hugs,
Carol

August Birthdays

We have lots of birthdays this month and these 2 cards were both on
  the 20th, yesterday.

The first one is for my lovely friend Sue,
who I sadly left behind in West Sussex. Miss You loads!!
She just adores Forever Friends Bears.
I did 3D him and even added another one inside!!

This next one was for my friend Jan.
She moved up here to Suffolk, 11 years ago.
So we are really enjoying being so close again.
The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons access site here
I do love this ribbon as it does 2 jobs, sentiment
and embellishment.

We finally got our swing bench up.

This is one of my 5 hanging baskets. They have all done well
considering I was late doing them.

Our neighbour took us on a walk to the beach near us.
We went the long but more scenic route but was well worth it.
This was one stop and had to take a couple of pics of the view.
We didn't expect this.

We carried on through the woods and ended
up nearer the sandy beach.
We then went the quicker route home, which only took 15 minutes!

I think this is going to be another regular walk for us.
We are so lucky to live here.

I'm late again!!
It's 1.10am and I have to be up at 6.30am,
as we are doing a Craft Fair. I was going to say tomorrow
but it is today. So off to my bed!

Thanks for popping in and to those of you that leave me a message,
an extra big thank you!!

Hugs,

Carol xxxx

On The Mend...... I Think!!!

Sorry I haven't visited you for a few days but this virus really
knocked me over!
In 48 hours I only slept for just under 2 hours. Just constant coughing.
I managed to phone my sister on Monday to wish her Happy Birthday and
I had to tell her who it was, as she didn't recognize my voice.
It still sounds the same but I slept for 4 hours last night, so feel a bit
better at the moment.

So just a quick post to apologise and hopefully will gradually get
around to you today.

This is another new stamp from Lili Of The Valley, Jasmine-Laptop.

Coloured with Distress Inks, just for a change!!

Sorry about the quality of pics, they look a bit blurry.

Thanks for popping in and will get back to you asap.

A Special Day

My health problem got a lot worse over the weekend.
Saturday morning was spent mostly in bed. I felt nauseous and couldn't eat
and even struggled drinking. The pain was really bad too.

I managed to get up Sunday but still felt much as the same as Saturday.
I lost 5lbs in those two days.
I must apologise for not visiting your blogs over the last few days.
I know my plan was to lose a stone this year, but not this way.
Another visit to the Docs on Monday.
He now thinks that I have a stone stuck in my Kidney.
He even called the hospital, spoke to a consultant, who agreed with him.
He also wanted to see if I could get a scan that evening!
No luck with that though.
He said he was going to keep an eye on me!

The hospital called me this morning. They had a cancellation,
so I have had it done. Now the wait for the results.
**********************
I must welcome my 2 new followers, Lia and Ameera.
Thank you for taking the time to join me.
Would love a message when you visit, so I can return the same to you.

This card I made over the last week. It was a stop and start card!
It's an 8" x 8" card blank and the backing card is a pack I bought at Ally Pally.
It is a beautiful card and I have it in 3 designs and also in gold.
The silver corners are the waste from the mirror board Die Cut.

The stamps are both from Lili Of The Valley, the sentiment and image.
The image was coloured with Distress Inks.
The sentiment was heat embossed with Silver Detail Embossing Powder,
onto a piece of the backing card.
You can see the shiny design a bit on this photo.

The flowers are a Sue Wilson Die set Delicate Daisies.

The image was stamped onto Langton Water Colour 300gsm paper.
The image and backing are cut with a Craft-Too set of dies.

I used the same die for the sentiment inside.

The table that the card is sitting on was an old garden table that
nearly ended up at the tip.
Instead, I painted it and then decorated it with Sheena Douglas style painting!
It then ended up on Create and Craft, on Sheena's Show!
Her husband had emailed me, as the table had been seen on my blog
and Sheena wanted to show it on her shows over the next 2 days. So it did.
I have got a couple of the programmes saved on my Sky box!! How sad!!
That was at least 6-7 years ago!!

I won't tell you how long it has taken me to get all this waffle on here!!
I can't sit for too long in one place, as it gets rather uncomfortable.

I promise I will try to start getting around to you all, over the next few days.

Thank you for visiting and leaving you lovely messages.

Big hugs to all,

Carolxxxxx

My Bestist Friend Retires!!

I must first thank you all for your lovely 'Get Well' messages.
You are such lovely people and it really means a lot to me.

A heath update. I collected yet another Script for Antibiotics this morning, Monday.
We are going to give it another week and if the pain has not gone by
the end of this week, or the beginning of next week, he wants to see me.
He then has to figure out what it is!

One of my best, special friends retires today.
She was a Senior Nurse in day surgery, at the famous burns hospital,
The Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.

We have been friends for over 25 years and she is more like a sister to me.

She is coming up to stay with us for 4 days, at the end of March.
I am so looking forward to seeing her again.
We are going to meet up with another ex-nurse, from the same hospital.
She used to live in East Grinstead and moved up here in Suffolk 11 years ago.
She is now only half an hour away.

I used to do their hair for them and they hadn't known for a
few years, that they had the same hairdresser!!

We are going out for lunch, so should be great fun!

I made this card for her as she very rarely spends time on herself.
I thought this might be a bit of a hint that she must now do so!

I made an easel card with one of my fave Stamping Bella stamps.
Coloured with Distress Inks.

I used Go Create Frilly 10 Square Die to cut out the image and mat.

The main backing paper is actually a Christmas paper pad from Trimcraft,
called Silent Night. It has a shiny metallic effect to it but of course
you can't see it!

You can't even see the Stickles on the bath or champagne bubbles.

Thanks to Carole, my new follower for taking the time to join my blog.
Of course I joined your amazing blog too.

Well off to finish cooking dinner, then back crafting later.

Shock....horror... I am going to post this card into 3...YES 3 Challenges!!!

Winter Wonderland - Must Use A Sentiment

Thank goodness, the only Snowflakes around at the moment,
are the Winter Wonderland Design Teamies!!

This is our last week that you can use any season/event image.
Then it will be Christmas only projects or cards.

The theme this week is
Must Use A Sentiment.

Our Sponsor this week is

The prize for the winner this week is 3 Digis.
Pop over to see the stunning digis.

The Paper Shelter image I have used is called Hope.
I hope you like her. I think she is beautiful.
I coloured her with Distress Inks and highlighted with some Stickles.

I printed her onto Langton Watercolour  300gsm paper.
I cut her out using a Craft Too Lattice Frame Die.

The sentiment was a die I bought at Ally Pally and can't remember whose it is.

So get cracking and get your entries made.
You can enter 3 times to better your chance of winning the great prize.
I am looking forward to visiting your blogs to see your makes.
I will leave a comment too.

.................................................................

We had Marianne (from Marianne's Craftroom) and her husband visit us on Monday.
It was so nice to see her again, as it was 2 years ago at Ally Pally, where
we first met. We had an enjoyable morning and looking forward
to meeting up again. Our husbands seemed to hit it off too, which was nice.
Marianne was also rather taken with my Dollshouse I think!

We are planning to meet up with Lynsey, who used to co-run the
Winter Wonderland challenge blog soon.

It's so nice to have people around that have the same interests.
We do so love it here in Suffolk and was the best move we could have done.
Well worth the problems and stress getting here!!

We are looking forward to the Spring and Summer, being so close to the beach!
The only downfall is Seagulls!! Hundreds of them!!
I have even managed to get a poop hit me on the top of my shoe!
Rather that than on my head though!
I must admit they are nicer than the pigeons we had before and
lots of different types, to look at.

So I am now getting back to the other part of my desk.
A book box is waiting to be finished.

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know you've been.
I do so love your messages.

Hugs,

Carolxxxxx

Shoe-tastic!!

Hi all,

I loved colouring this image, as I really like these stamps,
from The House of Zandra.

I made it into an easel card.
It was a commission for a friend,
whose daughter was going to be 40.

Coloured with Distress Inks of course!
The bag was from a dress stamp set from The House Of Zandra.
I haven't even stamped the dress yet.

I added some Stickles to the grapes and the decorative edge of the shoe.

More boxes to pack today! Nearly finished.
I still can't bring myself to put all my craft stuff in boxes yet!

My birthday tomorrow, so having a day off!
Not too sure what I am going to do yet.

I am out with a friend on Thursday. We are going to
A Craft Fair at Sandown Racecourse. So looking forward to that.
She is great fun, but rather upset about us moving away.
I have cut and coloured her hair for over 35 years!!

Thanks for stopping by and I really appreciate you taking
time to leave me such lovely messages.
They are helping me to keep positive, in dealing with this
stressful house move!!

Big hugs to you all.
