Shoe-tastic!!

Hi all,

I loved colouring this image, as I really like these stamps,
from The House of Zandra.

I made it into an easel card.
It was a commission for a friend,
whose daughter was going to be 40.

Coloured with Distress Inks of course!
The bag was from a dress stamp set from The House Of Zandra.
I haven't even stamped the dress yet.

I added some Stickles to the grapes and the decorative edge of the shoe.

More boxes to pack today! Nearly finished.
I still can't bring myself to put all my craft stuff in boxes yet!

My birthday tomorrow, so having a day off!
Not too sure what I am going to do yet.

I am out with a friend on Thursday. We are going to
A Craft Fair at Sandown Racecourse. So looking forward to that.
She is great fun, but rather upset about us moving away.
I have cut and coloured her hair for over 35 years!!

Thanks for stopping by and I really appreciate you taking
time to leave me such lovely messages.
They are helping me to keep positive, in dealing with this
stressful house move!!

Big hugs to you all.

Posh Shoes!!

Hello All,

I had forgotten that I had started this post
and was going to shock you, by posting straight after my last one!!
I know that I am a very naughty blogger as far as posting
but I am trying this year to be better!

My next goal is to try and join in with more challenges.
I just never seem to have the time and then when I have done one, I forget.
I did that once and I missed getting the prize I had won!Doh!!
Note to myself.... I must try harder!

I bought these stamps from House of Zandra,
at Sandown Park Fair in February.
She was selling the set, which has 2 shoes and embellies in the set for £5!
So I bought 3 sets of shoes and bags.

I coloured the shoe with Distress Inks and added a touch of Stickles.
I was playing with the inks and trying to get a suede effect.
Not sure it worked though!

The die I bought at Ally Pally, which is a Nesties Labels 40.
..................................................................................
I just had to put a couple of photos of a couple of plants in my garden.
I love Spring and my Pieris is such a show off plant.
The fence behind it is 7' high!

This Ceonothus is next to it and opens a couple of weeks after the Pieris.
They are right by the conservatory, so perfect placing for viewing.

I do have another shoe card made, as it was a commission,
I will show it after her birthday.

Thanks for popping in and please leave me a message,
so I know you have been.
Then I will pop over to your blog.

I will be back with another Winter Wonderland challenge post on Friday.
So would love it, if you can join our challenge that is still open.
You have one day left to join in and have a chance to win.

Hugs,

Toadstool Fairy

Hi everyone,
A very short post tonight.

I just had to post this gorgeous fairy stamp, that I bought at
Sandown Craft Fair.
She is from The House of Zandra, called Toadstool Girl 4.

I think she is beautiful and loved colouring her with Distress Inks.

The backing paper, was just a piece of copy paper, embossed and then
inked around the edges with DI.
I still cannot remember to choose papers first and then colour image!!
So I had no choice but to use the same ink, to match her dress and wings.

The sentiment and butterfly, were cut from funky foam.
I had a sort out of some drawers and found one was full with foam! Why?!!!

Most of it I gave to the Grandchildren.

Well that's it for tonight.
Oh, I must tell you. I went to the hairdressers today. So what you say!
It was the first time for over 20 years!
I was so scared, because, being a hairdresser myself,
I know what some of them can do!!
It was ok though. It will probably be another 20 years before I go again.
Maybe sooner.
If I can no longer get my arms around the back of my head,
with my scissors in hand, I will have to go again!

Right, back to my desk and finish my clock.

Thanks for popping in and a very BIG thank you for all your
wonderful messages.
Hugs,
Carolxx

A New Timepiece

Hi all, hope you are having a lovely weekend.

I have been sorting out a couple of drawers in my craft room.
Probably will regret it, as I won't remember where I have moved stuff to!
Most drawers are sort of labelled!

Tomorrow, I have my Granddaughter for the day and
Tuesday I have my Grandson.
Half term holidays. So looking forward to a couple of fun days.

My Granddaughter has to make a Victorian item for school, as homework.
So we are going to make a clock like this one but with Victorian decoration.

For this one, I used a great template from House on Zandra.
It is very easy to put together.
It was for a decorative use only but I wanted to make a working one.
I had to alter parts of the middle section, to cover the clock movement.
Only because I didn't want to see them!

On the one we are making tomorrow,
I will make the cover a bit better than this one.
As I will completely change the middle section.

The Decorations on the outside are made with paper clay.

The window in the clock front has acetate in,
so you can see the decoration inside.

I used a Marianne Die for the fence and a Wild Rose Die for the
Butterfly flourishes.
The paper at the back was free from an old magazine.
The daisy flowers are from Artista paper clay, which I Bought at The Craft Barn.
The Bunny and wooden flowers are from Art Cuts.

I really enjoyed making this clock and looking forward to
doing another tomorrow.
Now I have worked out how to modify the template!

Just to update you on my EBosser. I spoke to a lovely lady at Create and Craft Customer Service.
She has arranged for it to be collected from me on Wednesday.
As the plates are sticking out the front, I had to find a suitable box to put it in.
My hubby went to a pet shop nearby, Pets At Home.
They were very helpful and unpacked
a Gerbil Hotel Cage and gave him the box!! A perfect fit!!

I am now going to do the dreaded ironing!! Not my favourite job!

Thanks for stopping by. I love visiting your blogs and
I always leave a message.

So reading your lovely comments, gives me a lift too.
It's always nice to see who has been.
It's just a shame that all visitors don't take the time to just even say Hi!
We always will return the compliment.
It's a great way to meet new crafting friends too.

Hugs,
Carol xx

Crafting For All Seasons Challenge #90 - Birthdays

Hi everyone,
It's time for another challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons.

For the next 2 weeks, we would love to see your
cards, with the theme of.......

Birthdays!

It will make a change for you, to make a birthday card,
instead of all those Christmas ones!

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Three digi stamps are the prize.

I chose to use this image, as I had bought the stamp at Ally Pally in September
and I had not had chance to even ink it up!!

It is from The House of Zandra and she is called
Fabulous Girls 3.
She is a big stamp, 6" so great to colour.

I used the usual, Distress Inks to colour her with and she was stamped onto 300gms watercolour card. Sadly a bit too textured for me but it had to be used.

The backing paper is from my Tim Holtz Distress Ink Paper pad.
It hurt me to cut into it
but I thought she was worth it!!

The piece of jute, was a candy win from the lovely Marianne.

Don't forget to pop over to our blog and you will see some stunning cards
from my lovely teamies.
Sure to inspire you, as they are amazing.

Get those cards onto the blog, to be in with a chance to win three, FREE Digis.

Good Luck to you all.

Hugs,
