It's A Card!!!

Shock, horror, I am posting a card!!

Actually, I have made loads of cards, for the Care Home
I supply with them.

Thank you all for the lovely messages on my last post,
my baby Cockerpoo. You do know I  love to read them.
Certainly helped  me, to cope with all the
house bound time!!
So a BIG THANK YOU ALL!!

This is a simple card, using a cute Lili of The Valley stamp,
which I have had for a long time.
I love it, as it can be used for boy or girl.
The papers are from my stash and the ribbon, I bought at a
Craft Sale at Thetford, Norfolk. Sadly no longer doing it there.

We seem to be left out of these sort of events, here in
East Suffolk and Norfolk!!

Fortunately, we do have a brilliant, independent Craft Shop in Great
Yarmouth. Called Noble Crafts and is run and owned by
a lovely lady called Jan.
She is also an amazing crafter. (Just don't mention Gnomes!!)
She does have an addiction of them!!Lol!!!
She is also on Facebook.

Just finished making another Needle Felted Hare.
Slightly different to the last ones.

I have a Craft Fair to do next weekend in Lowestoft.
I will put the details on my Facebook.

So Thank You for taking the time to pop into
my  blog  and the messages you leave  are cherished.

Have a lovely weekend and stay safe and well.

Big Hugs,
Carol

Simply Round.

I am still trying to use stamps, that I have had for years.
The wreath image, is one that I have only used a couple of times.
I added some extra leaves, using old, used Cardio stamps.

I used Copics pens for the berries and some
water colour fine line pens, to colour the fine lines.
I added some Glossy Accents on the berries.

The background is from an old paper pad.
I put drops of gold Stickles on the stars.

Well only a few days to go, for the man
with the red hat, does his rounds!!

We only have to do our weekly shop, with
a few extras!  We are lucky, that if we
forget something, we are only a 4 minute
walk to the big Tesco.

So we are just then going to  stay in safe.
All the programs we want to watch,
we have set to record.
I have got lots of wool, so I can do a bit
of Needle Felting. I really want to make a squirrel.

Thank you for taking the time to read and
comment on my post. They are much appreciated.

So stay safe and keep well.
Big hugs,
Carol

Going Boating!!

Where has our Summer gone?!!
Even the heating came on a couple of nights.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post.
I do love reading them and they are much appreciated.

This little lad is another LOTV stamps, that has been around
for ages but still used a lot.

I now have a couple of Craft Fairs booked.
So nice to do one, but as it is a new venue, I don't
expect to sell much, as it's only been there once before.

There has been a lot of advertising, which is the most
important thing to do but doesn't always work.

Have a lovely weekend.
Big hugs,
Carol

A Big Thank You

Thank you so much for all your  lovely messages
on my last post. You are all so kind.

My sister was due to go home last Monday.
Unfortunately she had a 2nd fall and they
said she would go home on Wednesday last week.
Sadly they were unable to get a Care Package
ready and then it was each day on! and on!
They have promised it will be tomorrow, Tuesday.

My gorgeous Daughter-in-Law, is a long way
from home at the moment too!!

She is working at the Olympics in Japan,
as her role is a Sports Psychologist with
the Ladies Hockey Team. They won
their first game this morning 4 - 1!!

My son sent me a picture of her,  he took
off his TV this morning. Thanks BBC!!

This card is just for stock.  I have to replace
my cards, for another Nursing Home where
I take cards, for staff and residents.

The old map is one I had, which I used for
a holiday in Europe, many years ago.
I will post a bit more on that soon.

The stamps are an old set from LOTV.
I thought it was about time I used them again!
Coloured with Copics and edged the map
with DI  Vintage Photo.

I know a lot of you have had problems with
Storms and too much rain.
I wish we had just a little bit, as I can't
remember when we last saw any rain!!
I am going to have to get the hose out tomorrow.
The plants are looking very sad.
The soil is like concrete!!

The rain clouds just go over us and forget
to drop some here. The sun is really hot
through the window in my Craft Room ,
and I have the blind down at the moment!

I will now stop moaning!!
Thanks for popping in and like on my last post,
your kindness is wonderful.
Big hugs,
Carol

I am going to start one for her daughter next week.

This is a very old stamp and I still like it for a bot of fun.

Just coloured them with Copics and added some Glossy Accents
onto their glasses.

Off to bed as it's nearly 1.30 so an early night tonight.

Thank you for dropping into my blog and love reading your messages.
They are much appreciated. I will also get to your blog and leave a message too.

Stay safe.

Bottoms Up!!

Just a quick post today.
I have been working on a project for a few days.
I was making it up as I went along.
So stopping at times to work  out  the best
way to do the next thing.

As it is a gift for a friend of over 30 years, she
is well worth it!! It is a special birthday for her
coming up at the weekend and I have to finish it
and get it in the post, as she lives in West Sussex.
Still have to make a card as well!!

This card below I made for stock and is already out,
at one of the charities I supply cards to.

The 'Bottoms Up' is an old Lili of the Valley stamp and
goes well with an old stamp, of Wine, cheese and grapes.
I think the stamp was from a magazine.
I stamped it with Versafine black ink.

The wine bottle, cheese and grapes are all coloured
with Copic pens.

So I will try to post my friends pressie here
at the weekend.

Off now back to my craft room, as I also have
to make a box, strong enough for Royal Mail!!

Thank you  for your  lovely messages on my last post.
They are always read and appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of the week.
Stay safe.
Big hugs,
Carol

What a Mix!!

Morning all. Hope you are enjoying the beautiful
sunshine, like we are having here in Suffolk.

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.
I love to read and treasure them.

I have two pictures today, as they are both very
different but finished on the same day!!

My first is a card using a Honey Doo Crafts stamp.
I used Distress Ink mixed with glycerin, to make
the piece of white card pink and lightly mottled.

I stamped the image with Versamark clear ink
and embossed with white Wow Embossing powder.
I then coloured the flowers, using Copics pens.
A bit fiddly using 3 shades and used a
Colourless Blender Copic pen to remove any
ink that went on the white embossing lines.

Now this little fella I just adore!!
I made him, using my Needle Felting
wools and needles I bought from
Frankie and Sidney, details at the bottom
of page.
He is 5" high and 4 1/2" wide
or 12.7cm high and 11.5wide.

It did take a few days to make it and
made it up from just seeing a picture on line.

His back legs were the hardest and took me
2 goes to get them right.

I am now going to make another one.
I just sent a picture of him to a
couple of friends and one, Aileen,
wanted to buy him from me!!

Sandy (X Craft Barn owner) said
'it was probably the cutest thing I
have ever seen!!' Also, her husband
thought he was real!!

So I must make notes of what I did,
before I put him in the post!!
Going to take a few pics of all angles too.

You can find the shop at
www.frankieandsidney.co.uk.

They sell the most beautiful wools etc.
They are free delivery mostly and a
pleasure to deal with.
If you're too scared to just 'go for it'
as I did, with a few animals and want to
have a try, they do sell kits.

Looking forward to seeing your makes.
Stay safe.
Big hugs,
Carol

My Last Three

Thank you for taking the time to visit my last
post and leaving me such lovely messages.
Always so much appreciated.

Today I took 159 cards, that I finished making last
night, to the Residential/Nursing home,
that I supply for the staff and residents.

These were the last 3 cards I made last night.

I made all the backgrounds, using
Distressed Oxide. I then stamped the butterflies
with Versamark clear ink and then used Wow white
Embossing powder.
The circular sentiment, I found in my box  of
bits. It was from a free download from
Netty's Cards .

I then used Copics to add a bit more depth to the images.
The one below is just a close up to see the detail

The 2 below were made in the same way.
The first one below, the piece of card that
looks black is actually silver.

The strip again below that looks black is silver!!

I now have to make another large batch of cards for
the other home. At least it stops me getting to bored!

So enjoy getting your Jabs!!
Thank you for stopping by and love to read
your  messages.
I will try to get to you all tomorrow.

Stay safe,
big hugs,
Carol

Spring Is Coming!!

Just a quick Spring CAS card today.

The stamp was from a set, that was free with
The Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine
I stamped it with Versafine Smokey Gray and coloured
with Copics.
I cut a frame from white card and 3D it with Sticky
Foam Pads.

The sentiment was also on the stamp set and the butterfly
was cut with a very old Die!!

Thank you for all your lovely messages on my Needle Felting Robin post.
I think I still need quite a lot of practice though!!
I love to read all of the messages.

I have got my Vaccine appointment for my first jab,
on the 15th of this month. Can't wait for it!!
The second one is not until May but I know there is still
going to be rules, as there are now.

I was lucky enough to have a letter sent to me, from The NHS,
and not from my Doctors Surgery, offering me to book my Vaccine
 dates, direct from them.
My husband hasn't had a letter yet, but I am 73 and he is my
toy boy, he's only 70!! So I would think they are sending them
out by age.

Well we must still have to stay safe.
Big hugs,
Carol

Robin friends.

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.

Much appreciated and read each one!!

I have used the Robin stamps from Hobby Art for this card.

There are 3 different Robins but I only had space for 2.

I coloured them with Copics Pens. I fussy cut

the hats and used Pinflair Snow-It glue and glitter

on the hats.

I had made 60 Christmas cards for the Care Home

that I fund raise for but I had to keep this one for myself!!

I delivered the cards there on Friday and they were very

pleased to have them.

That is why I haven't been blogging more often lately.

Making 60 cards in a few weeks was going some!!

I can now start making my cards.

I am doing all my running around for the next 3 days!!

Then I will make the use of lockdown and get on with

my cards. I have a few Birthday cards to make too.

Thanks for popping into my blog and always love

to read your messages.

Stay safe in lockdown and just hope that everyone

will do the right thing for 4 weeks.

Big hugs,

Carol

Merry Mauve!

Thank you for all your lovely messages on my last post.
You are all so kind.
As an update, my sister seems to be settling into the home,
She said to one of the carers that she really liked it there,
but won't be staying there for ever!! Bless!!

So this is one of my cards that I really enjoyed making.
I have had the stamp for a few years but only used it a couple of times.
I decided to use different colours for the baubles, just for a change.

I used an old Go Kreate Frilly 10 die, for the mat.
The text banner die, I bought online.

The backing paper I have had for many years,
The front bauble I stamped twice and 3D it, to give it a  bit
more shape. I used Copics to colour the image.

I then covered the baubles and the berries with Glossy Accents.

So it was a simple card to make and quite quick too.

Guess what? As I am in my sitting room, with my lap top
on my lap, the rain is hammering down!! Now there's a change!!
I thought, when we moved here, nearly 5 years ago, partly because
this is supposed to be the driest area in the country!!
Where is the wettest? Answers on a postcard!! If not, on my post!!Lol!!

If this weather doesn't change soon, my feet will change into webbed  feet!!

I have put a few things I am selling, on my Facebook page and also onto
Facebook Marketplace. A friend also asked if I would like to put them on
her Facebook group, Suffolk and Norfolk Crafters.
So I am hoping that I could get some money, for the Charities I support.

Back to my desk now, to finish my last 6 cards I have to make and then
I can take them to the Care Home I supply.  That will be 60 cards for them!!

I have made a few for me but no where enough. Keeps the grey matter working!

Thank you again, for you lovely messages.
They are all read and appreciated and very uplifting.

So please stay safe and well.
Big hugs,
Carol
