Sitting in the Window!!

A very quick post tonight.

Another Needle Felting project.
Really enjoyed doing this one and stretched my brain, a lot!!

This is my first kitty and took a bit of time, to work
out how much body to do!
I just took out the glass from this Deep Box Frame,
6 inch square, from Hobbycraft.
Just made enough body so she could sit on the frame.
Flowers from Hobbycraft and leaves I made with air dry clay.

Thank you for popping in and hope you have a good
weekend. Thanks for the lovely messages you leave me.
Much appreciated and will visit you too.
Hubby's Birthday on Sunday. Not doing anything special.
Stay safe.
Big hugs,
Carol

Daisy Daisy!

Thank you so much for all the lovey messages
on my last post. I was amazed there were so many!
All read and treasured.

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely sunshine
we have been having for a few days.
A bit of sunshine certainly lifts your spirits.

My Hubby was booked in our local Hospital, to have
a knee replacement op, on Sunday 6th, this coming Sunday.
He went to have his Pre-op on Wednesday and was
there for just under 5 hours.
At the end of all the tests etc. the surgeon cancelled
his op, as on that leg, he has a Venous Ulcer, near
his ankle, so will not be able to do his knee op.

We were really disappointed, as we were excited to
get it done, after waiting for ever to get there!!
So looks like a few months now, to get it sorted.

So this is a card I made from pieces in my
bits box!

I had the background left over from another make.

The daisy strip, I used a scrap off cut of white card.
I stamped and heat embossed the daisies, with white
embossing powder.
I then used Distress Oxide Broken China, mixed with
a small amount of Glycerin for the background.
Then using a text stamp and grey ink, I randomly
stamped over the blue ink.
I then coloured the daisies with Zig Pigment Ink.

The Dragonflies are brads that I have had for years.

Looking forward to going for walks with my friend Sue.
Must loose a bit more weight!!

Thank you for stopping by and love
all your messages.

Stay safe,
Big Hugs

My Last Three

Thank you for taking the time to visit my last
post and leaving me such lovely messages.
Always so much appreciated.

Today I took 159 cards, that I finished making last
night, to the Residential/Nursing home,
that I supply for the staff and residents.

These were the last 3 cards I made last night.

I made all the backgrounds, using
Distressed Oxide. I then stamped the butterflies
with Versamark clear ink and then used Wow white
Embossing powder.
The circular sentiment, I found in my box  of
bits. It was from a free download from
Netty's Cards .

I then used Copics to add a bit more depth to the images.
The one below is just a close up to see the detail

The 2 below were made in the same way.
The first one below, the piece of card that
looks black is actually silver.

The strip again below that looks black is silver!!

I now have to make another large batch of cards for
the other home. At least it stops me getting to bored!

So enjoy getting your Jabs!!
Thank you for stopping by and love to read
your  messages.
I will try to get to you all tomorrow.

Stay safe,
big hugs,
Carol

Hare We Are Again!!

Hi to my lovely followers and thank you for
the lovely comments on my Giraffe.
Very much appreciated.

As promised, Hare is another Pink Ink Designs stamp!!

In addition to the main huge Hare stamp, you also get
10 background stamps. They can also be used as toppers
in their own right.

This was the first one I bought last year.
How can you not just love that cute face!!

I also have another stamp set, that is stamped and
coloured but not made into anything yet.

An update on my nose problem. I am now
on antibiotics. I am not having a full day of the smell
in my head now. So a lot better but if it is still with
me at the end of the prescription, I have an appointment
at our local hospital, with the ENT department.

So fingers crossed I won't need to go to the
hospital, which I will cancel if all ok.

Have a lovely weekend and hope your
area is safe from Dennis!!

Thanks for visiting my little corner and will enjoy
reading your comments, you have been kind
enough to leave me.

Big hugs
Carol

Chalk and Cheese!!!

Thank you for your lovely messages on my last post.
They are all read and treasured.

Sorry the pictures are a bit poor. Dare I say
it is too sunny today, certainly for the first butterfly.

If you click on it, the bigger picture is much clearer.

This first one is colour wise, the normal colour
and design I would make.
I do love the soft effect that pastels create.
So this is my 'Chalk'!!

My 'Cheese' is this one below!!

I do love Poppies and have never used them on a Butterfly.
I can cope with this bright red one, as it is offset
with the white ones too.

The centre Poppy is decoupaged, using 3 layers I cut
from the 12" x 12" page in the paper pad.

Loving this weather!! Just to wake up to see the sun lifts my spirit.

We went to a Birthday party yesterday. It was put on
for a friend of mine, that moved up to Suffolk about 15 years ago.
It was in her daughter's home.
OMG!! It was a fantastic Barn Conversion!  It was stunning.

We were able to sit out in the garden for the whole day, other than
going to collect the gorgeous food, that was in the dining room.

Going to have to get the hose out this evening, as the garden
is looking a bit dry!! The bird bath needs a refill too!!
Got to keep the birds happy!

Hope you are all having a lovely long weekend.
Must make a card for Hubby!! His birthday is on Thursday!!

Thanks for taking the time to pop in and will leave
you a message on your blog too.

Big hugs,
Carol

Oxide Playtime

A short post today as I must put our dinner in the oven!!

I have been digging in the garden this afternoon.
Now my back is telling me it's a while since I have done it....

Such a lovely sunny day, so thought I would get a bit
of fresh air.

I at last found a bit of time to play with my
Distress Oxide Inks.
So did a quick background with them.

The stamp I think is a very old Penny Black.
Not too sure, as I have had it for many years.

I am hoping to play a bit more soon.

Don't forget to check out The Craft Barn Sale.
More products reduced now and even more money off!!
Plenty of bargains to have.
I won't tell you how much I have spent!!!
Well you just have too don't you!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine as we are.
Let me know you have been and I will leave you a message too,

Big hugs,

New Challenge at WW

It's our Wedding Anniversary today!!
We have been together over 25 years
but had a long engagement......10 years!!!!
Well you have to be sure!!

Onto our new Challenge at Winter Wonderland.

Kath is hosting this challenge and she has chosen the theme
'Snowmen'.

Please remember all entries must be Christmas cards only.

You might think, pretty obvious as the theme is snowmen!!
But there are some people that have birthdays
at Christmas. So we say 'Christmas cards only'.

I must admit, I have a bit of a love affair with Snowmen
and I am very fussy as to how they look!!
This one passed as he has a lovely big smile!

He was given to us from our lovely Sponsor
He is called

The background I made using TH Distress Oxide Inks.
It was my first venture to use them and really enjoyed
trying them on different papers.
I bought them from The Craft Barn and I think I will
be buying a few more colours.
It's free postage, so you can order any amount you want.

I used Copics to colour him with.

Our Sponsor for this challenge is
Stamping Studio.

The prize is amazing.....
1 image from each Artist!!!

Have a look at the site Here.

So get your Christmas stash out. Blow off the dust and
dig out your snowmen stamps!!

It's very hot here in Sunny Suffolk as I write
up my blog.
Ideal for a cooling down.....making Christmas cards!!Lol!!
You can then see all the glitter you have on the floor!!

Looking forward to seeing your cards and we will
leave a message on your blog, to say we have been!!

Thanks for dropping by
and as you know I love reading your messages.

Big hugs,
Carol
