Just a Note

Firstly, I must thank all of you, who had taken the time to 

 leave me a lovely message on my last blog and on my 

Face Book page. You are all so kind. 

I am now feeling fine and trying to 

catch up on all my outstanding works.

I have to finish making cards for a Nursing Home and 

this time I am sharing it with a friend. So just need to make

half the amount 159, I made for the Residential home!!

I also have my Sister's 80th Birthday this coming Sunday 18th,

 so I have a card and gift to make for her and to get it in the post.

So I found this card in 'Draft' not exciting but a quick card.

Just stamped a border, using some Card-io stamps 

and used a die to cut the fancy edge.

Added a strip of green ribbon.

I will post my sisters card here on Sunday.

We now can at least get out a bit more, so

hope the weather is kind to us.

A Jug Full Of Spring

At last, snow free!! 

A heatwave coming next weekend!!

My poor Daffodils got their heads broken but at least 

there were only a few in full flower.

So another Spring card to enjoy.

Watercolour pencils.

The Primroses and the laying down Daff are 3D.

We had our Vaccine done on Sunday. Didn't even feel the

 needle going in!! Not even a scratch as it broke the skin!

Spring Is Coming!!

Just a quick Spring CAS card today.

The stamp was from a set, that was free with

The Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine

I stamped it with Versafine Smokey Gray and coloured

with Copics.

I cut a frame from white card and 3D it with Sticky

Foam Pads.  

The sentiment was also on the stamp set and the butterfly 

was cut with a very old Die!!

Thank you for all your lovely messages on my Needle Felting Robin post.

I think I still need quite a lot of practice though!!

I love to read all of the messages.

I have got my Vaccine appointment for my first jab,

on the 15th of this month. Can't wait for it!!

The second one is not until May but I know there is still 

going to be rules, as there are now.

I was lucky enough to have a letter sent to me, from The NHS,

and not from my Doctors Surgery, offering me to book my Vaccine

 dates, direct from them. 

My husband hasn't had a letter yet, but I am 73 and he is my 

toy boy, he's only 70!! So I would think they are sending them

out by age. 

Well we must still have to stay safe.

Christmas Soon - Really!!!

I have finally  found a bit of time to actually do a post!!

First, I must welcome Di as a new follower. Hope you 

will enjoy what you see on my little blog.

I have been making Christmas cards to take to the Care Home

I fund raise for. I have so far made 42 but a few more to make yet!!

This is the one I have just finished.

It looks a bit bluer than it is!! The card is actually white

but the light was very poor this afternoon when I finished it.

We have had a very stressful and sad few weeks. 

My eldest sister has Alzheimer's and for her safety,

it was time for her to be looked after in a Care Home.

It was very hard for my other sister, who has helped and 

cared for her, for a long time now. 

She has been so kind to her and has to drive for 

around an hour, to get to her. 

It was very difficult to find a home but one was eventually 

found. The best thing was,, it was in walking distance 

from where my sister lives.

So she will be able to see her more often. and no more long drive. 

Enough to say, that it turned out to be a hell of a trip 

for my carer sister, to drive her to the home!!

I just wished I could have been there to help her. 

As I live over 200 miles away from there and 

the problem with the Covid-19, we wouldn't be able to.

We are sure she will settle in soon.

Alzheimer's is such a horrible illness and our mother had it too.
