Winter Wonderland Challenge

Hi everyone,
here we are again for another brilliant challenge at
Winter Wonderland.

The theme this week is:
Tie A Bow

This is the last week that you can play along with any image.
For the next challenge and for the rest of the year, Christmas images only.

Our lovely sponsor for this weeks challenge is here:

The prize is an amazing £10 gift voucher.

I chose to use this sweet bear, with a gorgeous bunch of daffodils.
Isn't he gorgeous?!
I printed him onto 300gsm Water Colour paper and coloured him with
Distress Inks.

I had to have a close up pic, as he is so cute.

Don't forget to have a look at all the fabulous cards from the amazing DT.
I am so lucky, to work along side, a whole team of amazing designers.

Check them out here.

Thanks for popping in and I hope you like what you see here.
Please leave me a message, so I know you have been. Then I can visit you too.

Toadstool Fairy

Hi everyone,
A very short post tonight.

I just had to post this gorgeous fairy stamp, that I bought at
Sandown Craft Fair.
She is from The House of Zandra, called Toadstool Girl 4.

I think she is beautiful and loved colouring her with Distress Inks.

The backing paper, was just a piece of copy paper, embossed and then
inked around the edges with DI.
I still cannot remember to choose papers first and then colour image!!
So I had no choice but to use the same ink, to match her dress and wings.

The sentiment and butterfly, were cut from funky foam.
I had a sort out of some drawers and found one was full with foam! Why?!!!

Most of it I gave to the Grandchildren.

Well that's it for tonight.
Oh, I must tell you. I went to the hairdressers today. So what you say!
It was the first time for over 20 years!
I was so scared, because, being a hairdresser myself,
I know what some of them can do!!
It was ok though. It will probably be another 20 years before I go again.
Maybe sooner.
If I can no longer get my arms around the back of my head,
with my scissors in hand, I will have to go again!

Right, back to my desk and finish my clock.

Thanks for popping in and a very BIG thank you for all your
wonderful messages.
Hugs,
Carolxx

Crafting For All Seasons Challenge 96

Hi everyone,
I hope your week is going well.

Thank goodness there is not another Friday 13th this week!!

I couldn't believe it, last Friday, when my EBosser died on me.
It had sometimes stopped, for no apparent reason before.
I just turned it off and on again and it worked. Not this time!!
Fortunately, I only had a tag die in it and
it was near enough to the front of the plates,
that I was able to pull it out. It was a brand new plate too!!

Guess what the theme is for our challenge,
at Crafting For All Seasons this fortnight?!!

Have you got it?.......

Dies and/Or Punches!!!

Just what I needed!!
I was just lucky that I hadn't sold my Joy Trouvaille machine!

Our Sponsor for this challenge is Tiffany Doodles.
The generous prize is 3 Digi images.

You can see all the fabulous Tiffany Doodles here.
The selection of stamps is amazing. You will have a hard job choosing your 3.

I chose to use this gorgeous flower called Petals Up.

I printed the image onto 300gsm Langton Watercolour paper.
I coloured it with Distress Inks.
I created the background with a mask and a mask over the image.
I used Distress inks through the mask.

I used Paul's, at Go Create dies, Frilly 8, to cut both the flower and blue mat.

The sentiment is a Spellbinders Die D-Lites  and the decorative cut out,
is a Sue Wilson Die.
I then used a corner punch to round off the corners of the 7" square card.

Oops! I nearly forgot the butterfly, which is a Sizzix Die!
It nearly didn't make it onto my card. It was sitting on my desk, when I blew a bit of fluff off my card. The butterfly took off and landed in my pot of water I was using for painting my flower!!
A quick pat with kitchen roll and a blast of heat gun and it was rescued!

I think I have met the brief for this challenge. Plenty of dies and a punch!

So let's see what you make for us to drool over!

If you would like some more inspiration, pop over to our blog, here
You can see all the gorgeous cards, from the brilliant Crafting For All Seasons
design team, which I feel very honoured to be part of.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and your lovely messages
you leave me, are truly amazing.

Hugs,
Carolxxx

A New Timepiece

Hi all, hope you are having a lovely weekend.

I have been sorting out a couple of drawers in my craft room.
Probably will regret it, as I won't remember where I have moved stuff to!
Most drawers are sort of labelled!

Tomorrow, I have my Granddaughter for the day and
Tuesday I have my Grandson.
Half term holidays. So looking forward to a couple of fun days.

My Granddaughter has to make a Victorian item for school, as homework.
So we are going to make a clock like this one but with Victorian decoration.

For this one, I used a great template from House on Zandra.
It is very easy to put together.
It was for a decorative use only but I wanted to make a working one.
I had to alter parts of the middle section, to cover the clock movement.
Only because I didn't want to see them!

On the one we are making tomorrow,
I will make the cover a bit better than this one.
As I will completely change the middle section.

The Decorations on the outside are made with paper clay.

The window in the clock front has acetate in,
so you can see the decoration inside.

I used a Marianne Die for the fence and a Wild Rose Die for the
Butterfly flourishes.
The paper at the back was free from an old magazine.
The daisy flowers are from Artista paper clay, which I Bought at The Craft Barn.
The Bunny and wooden flowers are from Art Cuts.

I really enjoyed making this clock and looking forward to
doing another tomorrow.
Now I have worked out how to modify the template!

Just to update you on my EBosser. I spoke to a lovely lady at Create and Craft Customer Service.
She has arranged for it to be collected from me on Wednesday.
As the plates are sticking out the front, I had to find a suitable box to put it in.
My hubby went to a pet shop nearby, Pets At Home.
They were very helpful and unpacked
a Gerbil Hotel Cage and gave him the box!! A perfect fit!!

I am now going to do the dreaded ironing!! Not my favourite job!

Thanks for stopping by. I love visiting your blogs and
I always leave a message.

So reading your lovely comments, gives me a lift too.
It's always nice to see who has been.
It's just a shame that all visitors don't take the time to just even say Hi!
We always will return the compliment.
It's a great way to meet new crafting friends too.

Hugs,
Carol xx

Winter Wonderland New Challenge

Hi to all my blogging friends and to my new follower Dianne, welcome.

Here we are, back again with our new challenge, at

The theme for this week is
For A Child.

We are pleased to have the amazing
Pink Gem Designs, as our sponsor for this challenge.

The prize is 2 Digis.

If you don't know Pink Gem Designs......where have you been?!!!

Their images are awesome and you will be spoilt for choice.
Click here for the link to their shop, so you can drool!!!

I chose this stunning image called  Angelica.
Isn't she beautiful?!
I loved colouring her, using Distress Inks, on Langton Water Colour, 300gsm paper.

Her eyes are amazing. I added the little charm, as it is an angel.
I thought that she has the look of an angel.

The butterfly stem die, is a Wild Rose Studio die, from The Craft Barn.

Don't forget, a Christmas image is not yet needed. That starts next month.
So get those gorgeous children's images out and have a play.
You could win 2 more stunning images.

I am looking forward to seeing your lovely creations.

Just had to add this note. My EBosser has just packed up on me with plates and dies inside!! Not a happy bunny.
What is the date today!! Oh yes! Friday 13th!!!!!!

I am still making stock for my Craft Fairs. Because I sold so much a couple of weeks ago,
I have just got to where I was before that one!!
I have 3 Fairs next month, so cracking on with new projects.
I only had 2 clocks left, so a few more of those must be made
but still redesigning them in my head!!

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me a message, even just a 'Hello'.
Then I know you have been and I can visit you too.
Hugs,

Crafting For All Seasons Challenge 95

Hi everyone,

We have had another sprinkle of snow this morning.
Nothing like we had on Saturday morning. That was a lot more and
even covered the road.
Sadly, my class was postponed. People were concerned about driving to
The Craft Barn, as the snow was coming down quite hard.
By lunchtime it had all gone!! Ugh!!

We have another challenge starting today, at Crafting For All Seasons.

The theme for the next fortnight is,
Have a Heart.

Our brilliant sponsor is:

with a very generous prize of 7 images!!

My card is using the Bugaboo Digi, Girlz Celebrate.
I love this image and so useful to have, as it can be used for any occasion.

I coloured her with Distress Inks, with Glossy Accents on the balloons.
The papers are very old Hot Of The Press.

I printed her onto 300gsm watercolour paper. I sketched a heart shape around the image and just cut it out with scissors.
I then layered it onto a scrap of Bazill Burgundy card and cut around.

I sprinkled a little Antique Pink Frantage around the image.
Finished with a touch of Stickles on her.

The heart I cut from Balsa wood and covered it with Frantage.
The metal heart, was from my fave shop, where every thing is one price!!

There is some amazing inspiration here, on Crafting For All Seasons blog.
My lovely DT teamies, have made some stunning cards.

I also recommend a visit to the Bugaboo shop. I just love their images.
They have great funny images, that are very difficult to find.

I am looking forward to seeing all your entries. Lots of hearts this time!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me lovely messages. I just love to read them and then I know you have been and I could visit you too!

Hugs,
Carolxx
