New Gnome!!

Just a very quick post but just had to post this fun, New Home card!

Crafty Ribbons have just launched these new fun ribbons.
I have just used 2 of them.
First is The Garden Gnomes Ribbon and they are along
the bottom of the card.
I also cut one and put him in the window.

The other ribbon is The Bees.

I just cut off 2 and stuck them on my toadstool.
I just sketched the toadstool onto a 6" x 6" card and cut around it.
Then paper pieced onto it.

There are lots more in the range so pop over here
and see the whole range and have fun using them.

Thanks for looking and love your messages.
Hugs,
Carolxxxx

Had friends staying and for a few days.
Then it is our Wedding Anniversary today!

This week the theme is
'Summer' With Ribbons or Lace'.

Your prize will be a selection of some
fabulous Grosgrain Ribbons. (Not actually these colours)

Actually, some days it has been quite hot here.
Then the next day, chucking down rain so hard,
we had puddles in the garden.

For my card I have used one of Lili Of The Valley new stamps.
She is called 'Summer', so I thought she was perfect
for our challenge.
She is coloured with Distress Inks on water colour paper.

Her dress is 'spotty', so perfect for our gorgeous
Organza Swiss Dot, Garden Rose White Ribbon.
The colour is a perfect match.

and see all the stunning cards
that the Buttons DT have made to inspire you.

Then add your pretty cards to Mr Linky and you could
be the lucky winner of some beautiful ribbons.

Thanks for visiting and leaving your lovely messages.

Caravan Holiday

We had a caravan a bit like this in our garden when I was very young!
We just played in it as a playhouse.

I just love this stamp from Lili of the Valley and is perfectly
complemented, by the fabulous ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

The pictures really don't show the 'real life' detail.
The stripes on the pink and white caravan even look 3D.
The ribbon is called Caravan Ribbon and is in the
Grosgrain Summer Festival section.

I stamped the image onto Langton Watercolour Very Smooth 300gsm card and
coloured with Distress Inks.

You can see the amazing detail on the ribbon a bit better on the picture below.

The background paper is actually a map of France I used for a trip,
when I was in my early 20's. I drove my rather 'special MG',
to Rome and back with a friend.

It was 'Special', because the guy I bought it from, had rebuilt the engine
to race it. The engine was so big and powerful, that he had to have
a special bonnet made to get it over the engine.
It was a similar design as an E-Type Jag.
It was white with a big black band down it and sunken headlights.

A great fun car!! I loved driving it around London where I lived.

If you pop over to Crafty Ribbons shop, you will find some fantastic ribbons.
There are even ribbons with Camper Vans, Diggers and even
 London Buses and soldiers

I love wandering through all the sections, looking at ribbons
I have never seen before. Lovely to stroke and keep!!
Amazing buttons too. Fantastic designs.

I hope my card has inspired you to visit Crafty Ribbons shop.
Thanks for stopping by
and leaving me your lovely messages.
You know I love to read them.

Big hugs,
Carol xxxx

Crafty Ribbons Wedding!

Here at Crafty Ribbons Blog, we are getting into the season
of Weddings.

So that is the theme that our host, Marianne has chosen
for this weeks' challenge:
WEDDINGS/ANNIVERSARIES

I chose to use an precoloured image from Lili of The Valley.
I added a bit more colour to the flowers on the image and added
a few hearts on the background.

The ribbon I chose to use is
Sheer Puff Spot - White/Pink
It is available in a lovely range of colours.

The little hearts were the waste from the heart corner die.
It's a set of 3 corner dies from Cheery Lynn Designs called Lace corners.

The sentiment is also a LOTV stamp set, which I heat embossed.

I added some Stickles Star Dust to the flowers.

This is my second card for Crafty Ribbons DT.
I now have some beautiful ribbons, that I have to force myself to use
and not keep in a box and stroke every now and then!!

I feel pain as my scissors close on their beauty! Sad I know!!

So to win a beautiful prize from Crafty Ribbons,
make a card with a 'Wedding' Theme.
Post a picture on our challenge blog Here.

Oh! Please don't forget to add some ribbon to qualify for the draw.

I am looking forward to visiting your blogs and leaving
a comment, so you know I have been.
For tons of stunning inspiration, pop over to the blog here,
where you will see some fantastic samples
from the fabulous Teamies.

Good luck.

Winter Wonderland Snowflakes Challenge

Welcome to this weeks challenge at Winter Wonderland.

Our lovely host for this challenge is Cindy
and the theme she chose is

Snowflakes

There must be Snowflakes on your card/project.

I just had to use my favourite Christmas stamp.
To me, he is Santa.

I made the tag from water colour 300gsm card, from The Craft Barn.
I cut the shape and then used Chipped Sapphire DI to
colour the background. I then stamped swirls as a border.
It was a clear stamp I have had for a number of years,
with no clue as to where it came from!

I used Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp the Santa image.
Not that you can see it but I added Glossy Accents
to his eyes and his glasses.

Also 3D glue and glitter to his eyebrows.

On the Holly berries, I added Waterfall Stickles dots.
The Ivy is a Sue Wilson Die.
The snowflake dies were Marianne Designs and
Sue Wilson Holly dies.

The card background was a stamp from Sheena Douglas on the left.
The stamp on the right was a very old stamp from who knows where......Not me!!

Our Sponsor this week is
The generous prize of 6 images

Our second Sponsor is
A great prize of a £10 voucher.

Please make sure that your project matches the theme,
Snowflakes

If it doesn't, then you sadly will not be entered into the draw.

So please read the themes carefully and
then you could win an amazing prize.

So join in the fun and good luck!!

Thank you for popping into my blog.

Big hugs,
Carol xxxx
